Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.
Happy Easter to those who celebrate! I plan to hide plastic eggs with treats inside for Badger, so we’ll see if he can get them open, lol.
This has been a very slow week at work, which gave me extra reading time, so I’m not complaining. I’ve also been reorganizing my home office to be a guest room as well, and I’ve added two beds for my kids when/if they ever decide to visit! I will share a photo once it’s done. Otherwise, not much has happened, but I have been doing well with my April TBR, and I’m already on book #3. I hope everyone has a great week:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I flew through a couple of books last week. The Caretaker is another mind bending, weird story from Marcus Kliewer, author of We Used to Live Here. Stop by tomorrow to check out my review! I also read Morsel, another very quick read, and this debut horror story was…very strange. I had a few issues with it, even though I loved Keane’s writing and ideas. My review will be up Thursday. I’m currently reading We Burned So Bright, and The Tricky Business of Faerie Bargains will be up next.
Other posts this week:
On Tuesday I’m sharing my Most Anticipated Book of the Second Quarter; and Wednesday I have some new books and cover reveals to share on Future Fiction.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Geomagician by Jennifer Mandula – Review 3.5/5 stars
What’s On My Plate – April 2026
Nothing Tastes As Good by Luke Dumas – Review 4.5/5 stars

Happy Easter! Yay, for getting a lot of read already!
Thanks Stormi, happy Easter!
Badger is adorable as always! I got a lot of reading done on my trip, now just worried real life is going to slow that back down, lol. We don’t do much for Easter anymore, although I’ll probably have dinner with my mom. She went to her usual Waffle House this morning and brought them a basket of candy. Hope you have a good week!
Thanks Lisa! I know what you mean about real life, ugh.
I hope Badger has a happy Easter!
Thanks Lisa!
Yay Badger. Great to have a slower week and be able to get off to an awesome start to your April reading. I’m a little worried about Badger cracking the plastic eggs and making sharp pieces.
That was my thought too, Anne. But the eggs didn’t break. He figured out how to separate the two halves and get the treats! And I was there watching while he did it.
A very Happy Easter to you, too, Tammy! It’s always a bonus when there’s more time in the week for reading:)). The office reorganisation sounds like fun – we still have a lot of projects ahead of this Spring and Summer. Frankly I’m dreading them, but the house will be so much better once they’re completed.
Spring and Summer seem to be the best time for projects, good luck with yours!
Happy Easter to you! Glad to hear you’ve had a little extra reading time, that’s always appreciated. It’s fun seeing Badger winding up the creek. 🙂
Thanks Todd! I hope you enjoyed your day too:-)
Hope Badger had fun with the plastic eggs, haha!
He actually did have fun!
I am so excited to hear your thoughts about all of these books! I’m particularly curious about Morsel–strange is very enticing to me, haha. I need to catch up on your posts! Reorganizing is always fun, also! Hope you have a great week!
Thanks Jordan, I hope you have a good week as well:-)
So now I’m curious—how successful was Badger at getting to the treats inside the eggs? That sounds like a lot of fun!
He figured it out right away! I was surprise. I guess the eggs are made to come apart easily.
Extra reading time is wonderful and Badger always looks like a cool dude. Happy belated Easter!
Thank you!
