Turns out purple isn’t a very popular color for horror covers, but I’ve managed to find eleven that have purple in them (some are more purple than others!) I have only read four of these, and five are on my TBR.
House of Monstrous Women by Daphne Fama
American Rapture by C.J. Leede
The Workshop of Filthy Creation by Richard Gadz
Sour Cherry by Natalia Theodoridou
Death At the Door by Olivia Blacke

Purple should be way more popular for horror because these are great!
I agree, I was surprised it was so hard to find these:-)
I can’t wait for Snake-Eater!
Me too!
Purples my favourite colour but I’ve noticed that you don’t get too many fantasy books with covers in that colour either. These all look great together and a few of them are on my TBR too. I love the shade they’ve gone for with The Last Witch and the way the colour shifts on Snake-Eater especially.
Thanks Charlotte! I do love The Last Witch cover:-)
I love purple and I love these covers! And together they are sooooo pleasant to look at!!
They do go together nicely:-)
I love these posts. And I can’t believe you found so many horror novels with purple-ish covers. 😀
It was hard, but I did end up finding quite a few:-)
Hey I think 11 is a good number and purple is my favorite color so I love seeing these.
Thanks Barb! I know at least one reason you love purple so much;-)
Cool covers.
Thanks!
Spooky & Purple go so well together!
They really do!
I literally say this with every cover love horror post of yours but I really love purple for books, especially horror books! 😛
I adore purple, and I wish there were more purple books!
I would think purple would be popular especially if there are paranormal or spooky things. It’s huge at Halloween.
Good point! I see purple all over during Halloween.
Nice job finding as many as you did. I can imagine that would be a challenge.
It was challenging, which is why I had to add the “ish”, lol.
Well I love the color purple but not horror…anyway you did great finding so many!
So pretty! I just added House of Monstrous Women to my TB thanks to another blogger’s review. Very intrigued by that one. Adding Moonflow to my TBR. Wow, that cover is stunning.
Turns out purple is an excellent colour for horror, so many of these are bangin’ covers! I’m kind of intrigued by Of Beasts even though I’m seeing the reviews are quite mixed. Adding The Workshop of Filthy Creation to my tbr though!!
I think I’ve only read one (and dnf’ed one) but there are many on here that are coming up so I hope to polish a few more off!
Same as above – one read and one DNF’ed and waiting to read three of the others.
Lynn 😀
