Buffy’s Corner 11/8/26 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

How about those elections?? 🙂 I have to say I haven’t felt better about being an American in a long time. Here’s hoping things start to change for the better (although I realize it’s going to be a long road ahead).

I started watching Below on Netflix, and it’s sooo good! It’s got a strong Steven Spielberg vibe (although he’s not involved), so if you are a fan of Jaws or ET, definitely check it out. It’s creepy, and I love the Newfoundland setting.

I don’t have any new photos of Badger, so I’m sharing our other beautiful maple tree below, which seems extra bright yellow this year, for some reason. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

I’m cranking through my November review books! This week look for reviews of The Yule Day Slaughter (tomorrow) and Revenge Plot (Thursday). Then I’m finally diving into Pinfeathers, my most anticipated release of the month. After that I’ll probably pick up Dead New World.

Other posts this week:

The rest of the week is fuzzy at the moment, lol. I might do last week’s Top Ten Tuesday post (one word reviews) on Tuesday; Wednesday is of course Future Fiction, and once again, this must be the time of year publishers are cranking out cover reveals, because I cannot keep up! And so far I haven’t done much in the way of Sci Fi Month participation, so hopefully I can join in with one of the prompts later in the week.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

Milkteeth by Caitlin Starling – Review 4.5/5 stars

Future Fiction #407

Monsters of Ohio by John Scalzi – Review 4.5/5 stars
