Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.
It was a pretty chill week here. And I mean “chill” in both the nothing exciting happened and it was nice cool weather, lol. Today’s Badger photo happened on the trail, when the hubby and Badger met his twin! Can you guess which one is Badger?
Have a great week!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I managed to post three reviews last week, but I also kind of went off my reading plan. On a whim I decided to start Crone and OMG I was not ready! I absolutely loved it, although it’s not going to be for everyone. Keith Rosson is my new favorite writer:-) Look for my review tomorrow. I’m currently reading Engines of Reason and will have a review up later in the week. After that I’m reading Mazywood and A Waltz of Sinister Import!
Other posts this week:
With the crossover into a new month, it will be a busy week! Tuesday is a Fall Top Ten Tuesday freebie, and of course my post will be cover related. Wednesday I have three new cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; Thursday I’ll share my ridiculous October TBR, lol; and I’m pushing my September wrap-up post to Saturday.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Incarnate by Alma Katsu – Review 4/5 stars
Exit Party by Emily St. John Mandel – Review 5/5 stars
Bane Bloom by Sharon Lynn Fisher – Review 4.5/5 stars
Ooh, I’ve been meaning to read something by Tananarive Due for soooo long. Somehow I never get to it, but I’ve heard great things about her work. Hope you enjoy it, and of course the others too!
And wow, Badger x 2!
This will be my first Due book, I can’t believe I still haven’t read The Reformatory.
Yay for chill weeks!! And Badger has doubled!! I am glad you fell in love with Crone!!
LOL Badger doubled, we are in trouble!
Oh my god, two Badgers!! How funny that your husband came across a lookalike of him.
Isn’t that funny? And it was on a sort of remote walk where he rarely runs into other people.
I’m devastated that I missed out on Engines of Reason – how did THAT happen?? As for encountering Badger’s twin – hm. Is he the dog on the right? Glad it’s finally cooler to be pleasant – our weather is lovely right now. Have a lovely week.
He’s actually the dog on the left. We can always tell because his tail is a little strange, lol.
The woods are just full of Badgers these days. 🙂
LOL and we found someone else in town with the “same” dog too;-)
A “chill” week LOL. That’s great! We’ve been having pleasant temps for the last 15-20 days, and I’m thankful!
The Badger twin would be practically indistinguishable from the real one if not for the tail. I seem to remember Badger’s is shaved, so he must be the one on the left. That’s a hell of a coincidence though!
Yes, you are right! Badger has a weird tail, he’s always had it:-)
Wow! They are twins.
Crazy right?
Wow! That dog really is his twin!! And Mazywood looks really good!
I’m so excited to start Mazywood!
We got the chill here too, and I am so ready for it! Although we might have a day around 80 degrees this week, the rest of the week is going to be rainy again. Hmm, I’m going to guess Badger is the one on the left? I am so far behind on commenting and there are so many of your past reviews I want to catch up. Hope to have time to do that maybe this week. Hope you have a good week!
We have some 80s coming up this week, strangely enough. But I’m sure the temps will go back down. And yes, Badger is on the left! He has a wonky tail, lol.
Aww, Badger and friend! So glad to see your 5 star review for Exit Party — I’m starting it today! Looking forward to reading your review of Engines of Reason. I really liked the previous book, and for some reason just haven’t been in the mood to start this one. Have a great week!
I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Exit Party!
I was happy to get the cooler weather this week. Even when the sun was warm the low humidity was just amazing. Love that Badger has a new friend.
Cooler weather always makes me happy:-)
I am ready to not be ready for Crone. I have quite a few people ahead of me in the holds line, but hopefully it will become available before the end of the year. I hope you have a great reading week!
I hope you get to read it, he’s such an amazing writer. Have a great week!
Neither are badgers, final answer;) I also managed three reviews in the last week—high five!
LOL you’re killing me Will;-)
I try 😉
Awww Badger has a twin! yay! A Waltz of Sinister Import looks fantastic. I hope you enjoy 🙂
A Waltz of Sinister Import was so good!
Isn’t October crazy with new releases? I already started one last night trying to get a jump. Man, Badger does have a twin. How cool!
Looking forward to checking out your review for Crone in a minute. Sounds like you have a wonderful reading line up. Having managed to get my ARC read with the closer than I’d realised release date done on time I’m hoping to get my last two October ones read this week. And then I’m torn between November releases or library choices.
I look forward to seeing your ambitious TBR too.
Oh wow that really is Badger’s double!! I hope you have a lovely week.
I guessed Badger on the left and then scrolled down and saw your answer. I recognized his body shape.
Oh look at Badger with his double – amazing. Do they both get on really well?
Lynn 😀
