I hope everyone had a good week! Our temps have dropped dramatically, to the point where I almost want to run the heater in the morning. But that’s just wrong, it’s only September! So we’re just adding extra layers, lol. I’m not complaining, it’s a nice change from the heat.
The hubby just got back from a photo trip to Calgary, and instead of a Badger photo this week, I’m sharing one of the many beautiful landscape photos he took. Next month he’s going to Borneo, which is making me a little nervous since it’s pretty hard to get there. His flights have been cancelled and rescheduled multiple times and he says if it happens again, he’s cancelling the trip. We shall see!

I meant to read Our Cut of Salt this past week, but it started out kind of heavy and sober and I wasn’t in the mood, so I switched to Bane Bloom, Sharon Lynn Fisher’s upcoming historical fantasy. It was really good, and my review will be up tomorrow. I’ve also read Exit Party which is another winner from Emily St. John Mandel, and I’ll have a review up later this week. Then I’m going back to Our Cut of Salt and Incarnate.

The weathers all over the place here too at the moment. Its still humid a lot of the time but then we’ll randomly get surprisingly cold winds that make it feel much later in the year than it is.

Last Saturday of the month already! September is truly flying by.
I know, I can’t believe next week is October!! I am not ready, lol.
It’s been cooler here, too. Our house is really well insulated so I expect it’ll be another few weeks before we need to turn on the heating, but because of my circulatory issues, we never hold out once the temperature’s cold enough. It might feel like a harsher transition this year since we got so heat-adapted, though.
Our Cut of Salt does seem like it could be pretty heavy. I hope it’s gonna be good though!
I am starting Our Cut of Salt later this week for sure, no matter what my mood is:-)
Run…the heater?!? How lucky you are LOL. Mind you, we’re at least LIVING (as opposed to surviving) these days – I have 27C/80,6F at home, which is a nice change from the previous nightmare …
The Calgary photo is beautiful! So much that you’re forgiven for not giving us our monthly Badger treat LOL. Going to Borneo sounds a bit scary, even without taking the flight issues into account. I hope everything goes well.
Oops…”weekly” Badger treat of course.
I usually don’t worry too much when he travels, but for some reason Borneo is scaring me a bit!

We’ve begun having some nice cool days/nights around here, too. It’ll be too warm for extra layers when I go to bed but I’ll sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and pull over an extra layer. Beautiful photo from Moses. I love the low perspective.

I’ve also been loving the crisp mornings, though it’s still too hot during the day to consider turning on the heater yet. I can’t wait, though! I love the turn of the season from summer into autumn.

The weather, at least here in Belgium, is so weird. Right now having to wear a jacket outside if it’s cloudy, in the sun it’s quite nice, but this coming week it’ll go back up to 25°C ( 77°F).
It seems like the weather is weird no matter where you go!

It’s been so cool here the last 2-3 weeks and I am obsessed! Mainly because I’m from Georgia (USA) and I know it’s still sweltering back at home and I know all my friends and family are jealous Gorgeous photo! I just love the look of those mountains,

It’s very autumn here already, which is weird because we’re not supposed to have a winter. And BORNEO??? I volunteer to go in his stead if needed

Our weather has been erratic too. I had the aircon on for a couple days in a row, but right now I have a blanket over my lap because it’s chilly again.

We were having that beautiful cold weather and it has warmed up a bit and made me grumpy. Lol. I liked it cold! And Borneo! Holy cow!!
We’ve been having very warm weather but I think it’s just starting to break now, which is a relief really. And the nights are already starting to get longer – which – boo! But also nice for sitting in a cosy corner with a book.
