Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.
My week can be summed up in two words: hot and busy! And I don’t see any change in the coming weeks either, lol. I have been reading a lot and that’s a good thing, right? I hope everyone has a good week!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I managed to post three reviews last week, and then I dove into The Calamities, which I’m currently still reading (it’s long!). It’s very weird and I’m really enjoying it. My review will be up this week but I don’t have a day scheduled yet. And sadly, Summer of Horror is coming to an end, so I’d love to squeeze in at least one more horror review this week, maybe The Burn Line or The Night Pool. And then it’s full speed ahead with September releases, and I’m definitely starting with Kiss Slay Replay.
Summer of Horror Updates:

We have one more week to go! I’ll be doing a Summer of Horror Wrap Up post at the end of the month, which is going to include my thoughts on this year’s event as well as some tentative plans for next year. Remember to link up your posts this week so I don’t miss any! Thank you to everyone who has been participating:-)

LOL! Badger the Cow Slayer ;).
Hot and busy…ugh. The temps have gone down a notch here, but they’re still too uncomfortable for my liking. As you said, at least we have books…speaking of which, I’m looking forward to your thoughts on The Burn Line (my own mini review is coming on Tuesday) and The Calamities. Have a nice week (heat permitting…)
Ugh I could also sum up my week by “hot and busy>” Here’s hoping September will cool down some (I doubt it will, but a girl can dream.) I look forward to your review of Calamaities. I hope to read it this spooky season.
This last week was extremely wet and rainy here. Luckily where I am we escaped some of the flooding, but at the other end of the county it shut down part of the interstate. My local school district (which is very large by physical area) even cancelled the first day of school on Thursday because of so many flooded roads. There’s only a 16% chance of rain today and the for the whole 10 day forecast the chance of rain doesn’t go above 50% – plenty of time for things to start to dry up at least a little bit.
Ahhh! Badger and his toy are so cute! Yeah we had the heat here too, and it was crazy busy for me as well! This week is supposed to be a notch cooler. The weather guy also said from now on the sun will be going down before 8 pm until next April. I’m okay with that as it makes it easier to go to bed when I need to if it is already getting dark. I’m so behind on reading reviews with only 2 weeks into school! I’m so ready for when my 4 day weeks start and I can use Mondays to get back to comment on everyone’s blogs! Hope you have a good week!
Sorry you are still enduring lots of heat. It’s become much cooler here, but still nothing like enough rain. Although most of the rest of the country has been having plenty. And can we have a minute’s silence for Badger’s cow, who must be soon be coming apart terminally…
Aww, looks like Badger’s cow is very well loved!! 🙂 I’m so excited for Kiss Slay Replay… I know I have a lot of downtime coming up next weekend, so if I don’t dive in sooner, that’s when I’ll really focus on it. Hope you have a great week!
Love Badger and his cow. Is it scifi September? I’ve already started with a scifi series. Last week was hot but this week is normal heat not extreme heat.
Awww Badger! Mine has been super busy hence no Sunday post and no replying to comments 🙁
Looking forward to your thoughts on Kiss Slay Replay! Hope you have a good week and that it’s not too busy, or at least, busy in a positive way!
What a cute photo of Badger! I have Kiss Slay Replay on hold at my library and can’t wait for it to come in. It sounds like a very fun read. Wishing you a good week!
Ooo I am looking forward to your thoughts on Kiss Slay Replay. I have only read one of her books but I want to read more. Have a good week!!
That looks like a well-loved cow. 🙂 Keep cool and stay (reasonably) sane!
It’s starting to cool off here in northern VA, but it’s been muggy which makes it feel hotter! Hopefully after this week you’ll be less busy and cooler. 🙂
Sound slike another intense reads week. enjoy!
I hope you have a lovely week. I have three horror list style posts and at least one more review to share before the end of Summer Of Horror. I hope you enjoy all of your reads and am excited to see your latest bookhaul. You always get such exciting bookmail.
Awww I’m obsessed with Badger’s cow plushie. So damn cute!
I can’t believe it’s ending. Of course, Spooky Season is right around the corner so I will still have an excuse to read horror but your even is always so much fun and the extra kick I need to finish up some things.
I’m glad you’re enjoying The Calamities. Oh wow, Summer of Horror flew by! I’m hoping to make one last post for it this week too (not that I made many lol). Can’t wait for your next Future Fiction! 🙂 Omg badger’s special cow that’s too cute! Sadly my pup can’t play with stuffies because he gets very possessive of them and then nobody has fun so only non-stuffy toys for him, alas. lol. I hope you have a fabulous week, Tammy
The last two weeks have been so busy for me, the final burst of activity before back to school with last minute camps, travel, orientations, sport teams try outs…it should get better once classes start next week. But, still hot lol.
The heat has been relentless this summer. Love Badger and his special cow!
I’m hoping that September will be a little calmer than August – although, we did have some cooler weather I now understand we’re having some very warm days again – oh well, I’ll just have to lollop around and read.
Lynn 😀
