Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.
We finally had some lower temps this past week, mostly in the mid-70s, and it was absolutely lovely! I love giving the A/C a break and opening all the windows for the cool breezes to come in. This coming week it’s going to be hotter, but not nearly as hot as it was a couple of weeks ago.
I finished Little House on the Prairie and cried during the end, it was so good! The next season takes place in Walnut Grove, where the Ingalls end up meeting the notorious Oleson family (if you’ve seen the original series, you know!)
Has anyone seen The End of Oak Street yet? I hear it’s fantastic. I hope everyone has a good week and reads some fantastic books!

This week look for reviews of Devil Inside (clever and surprisingly sweet!) and The Art of Charming a Changeling (cute but it’s missing something for me). I wanted to start The Calamities last week but I didn’t realize it was 600 pages so I decided to put it off until this week. After that I’m diving into another horror book, If We Survive the Night.

Other than Future Fiction on Wednesday, I don’t have much planned this week. But because Summer of Horror is almost over (!!), hopefully I can pull off a horror-related post later in the week.

Glad to hear you’ve gotten lower temperatures where you are. They’ve risen again the last few days here but they’re meant to be dropping, at last, as the week goes on. Glad to hear Little House On The Prairie was such a good watch too.
I’m just over half way through The Art Of Charming A Changeling at the moment and sadly feeling similarly to you. It isn’t grabbing me in the way I expected. Although it did seem to be picking up so I guess I’ll have to see how the rest goes.

I could KILL for mid-70s right now. The temps SHOULD drop a little here, but given that there’s no rain to be had in my area (at least for the next days), I highly doubt they will.

We must live somewhat close to one another 🙂 Our weather has been fantastic this week and I haven’t really needed to run the AC the last few days. It has been fantastics! Especially since just a couple weeks ago it was hitting the 100s. I desperately want to watch the new Little House on the Prairie series. I’ve heard amazing things.
I hope you get the chance to watch Little House! I thought it was very well done, and the actors were great.
Jealous of the cooler temps! Although with my allergies and the way my house is set up, I can’t really ever just have windows open so I am either heat or A/C in my house year round. But at least when it is cooler the AC doesn’t have to run as much and my bill isn’t as bad. I need to watch the new Little House on the Prairie series. Is it on Netflix? I don’t pay for that one right now. I am going to see The End of Oak Street with my mom this afternoon, can’t wait!

I’m glad the temp has lowered there too. This past week has been hellish here and now we have at least two weeks (so far anyways…) of lower temps too. It’s heaven!!

Well we had another heat wave here and still no rain. It’s so stressful!

Great to see Badger and that you are having beautiful cooler temps. We are still in extreme heat. Maybe next weekend we will drop into the 80s and get some rain.
We had very hot temps this week, but I’m hoping for a bit of a cool down next week. The worst is when the nights are hot, it’s so hard to sleep.
Hey there! Things continue to be busy on my end, but I’ve been getting some reading done. You’ll probably start and finish, “The Calamities,” before I do, but I’m looking forward to comparing my thoughts with you.
Also, your posts about Horror Books is giving me some ideas for what will be a belated post about the genre.
I’m about a third into The Calamities and really enjoying it! I’m trying to finish it this weekend, but we’ll see how that goes…

Seeing Badger like this, it’s fun looking back to his much younger photographs. 🙂 Seems a completely different dog. Glad the temperature has come down. I took advantage yesterday of a slightly cooler day to mow my father’s lawn… and then couldn’t stop sneezing for the rest of the day. 🙁 I hope the rest of your week goes well!
He has grown a lot, lol. Which is a surprise to us because his mother is a cattle dog and we never expected him to get so big. I hope you’ve been having a good week, Todd!

Our temperatures seem to be coming down a little and its so much more comfortable. I didn’t realise how irritable the heat was making me until it started to come down some. Have a great week.
