Buffy’s Corner 6/7/26 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

This week flew by, I’m not sure why because I wasn’t busier than normal. But I’m glad it’s the weekend! Not much else to report, so let’s get to it:

Upcoming reads & reviews:

This was a great reading week! I chose more fast paced, shorter books so I could make a dent in my June pile, and it worked. Look for three reviews this week: tomorrow will be The Summer Fun Massacre, Thursday will be Three Hitmen and a Baby, and Saturday I’ll post my review of Obstetrix. All three were winners! Up next (and probably currently reading when this post goes live) will be Headlights.

Other posts this week:

It’s a packed week so get ready. Tuesday I’m joining Top Ten Tuesday, which is books with font that looks like handwriting on the cover. Of course, I’m making it spooky for Summer of Horror, and I’ll feature horror books! Wednesday is the usual Future Fiction; and Friday I’m jumping in with a Pride Month list of upcoming queer horror.

Summer of Horror Updates:

Thanks to everyone who posted Summer of Horror posts this past week! If I missed your post, do leave a comment and let me know, and I’ll add it to next week’s list. I’m trying to catch them all! I appreciate all your excitement and hard work:-) Also, please welcome Tanya Patrice to the event, who signed up this week.

  1. You’re blasting ahead with your reading. I’ve just started The Children and then I’m hoping to get to DiLouie and maybe CJ Leede.
Lovely pic of Badger and just look at that view.
    Lynn 😀

  2. I’m slowly catching up on your reviews! For a moment the cover of Headlights had me messed up trying to figure out where that mouth was or what it was on, and I make it bigger to see, lol. Love the picture of Badger! Oh, and I’m loving following your husband’s Facebook page for all his photos, they are so incredible! Thanks for sharing that! Hope you have a good week!

That cover of Headlights is crazy! I’m reading it right now and I’m still not 100 percent sure what’s going on, lol.

  3. Gorgeous photo of Badger with the countryside. I kept trying to pack more into every day and knock things off my lists. It’s a good thing I am working on some of this stuff in advance as crazy as it is going! Good strategy on the shorter ones first. If I wasn’t so behind or strict on my schedule I made that would work for me. I actually picked a shorter book for an open slot because it was shorter though. Thankfully it’s a good book.

Thanks Anne. I also have some very long books I want to read, so that will put me behind again, lol.

  4. Thanks for sharing my post, it’s lovely seeing how many people are joining in and I’ll have to check out a few of the other posts a bit later in the week too.

My June reading is off to a slow start with a lengthy book and busy week but I’m hopeful that it’ll pick up as the month goes on.

I’ll also be keeping an eye out for your review of Obstetrix in particular. I overlooked it at first but since checking out the premise I’m highly intrigued.

Hope you have a lovely week.

I’m thrilled to have so many participants this year:-) I’m working on my review of Obstetrix today, I am so glad I finally read a book by the author.
