Buffy’s Corner 3/8/26 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

It’s been freezing this week, but at least there’s no snow! The hubby is in Canada looking for owls, and Badger and I are enjoying the quiet. Work has been dreadfully slow, lol, but I’d rather be slow than out of my mind busy. I finished up Bridgerton Season 4 and loved it! Now I’m waiting for Virgin River Season 7 to start his coming week. I hope everyone is doing well and reading good books:-)

Also, a note about the Badger photo below. The hubby took Badger on a mountain road that’s currently closed due to flood damage, so there’s no danger of cars coming upon them!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

I started reading The Red Winter last week and so far I’m loving it! But I didn’t think I’d be able to finish it and get a review up for tomorrow, so I set it aside to read Wolf Worm, which I’ll review tomorrow. I’m hoping to finish The Red Winter and get a review up later in the week. Next up: Crawlspace and A Lie for a Lie.

Other posts this week:

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun one this week: book titles with ordinal numbers; Wednesday I found three really exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; and probably Friday I’m going to post my 2026 version of the “Reading Firsts” book tag.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

Jitterbug by Gareth L. Powell – Review 4/5 stars

Nobody’s Baby by Olivia Waite – Review 4/5 stars

Future Fiction #372

Twelve Upcoming Thriller/Horror Books with Creepy Houses on the Cover

  1. Hope it warms up some for you!
I am glad you are enjoying Bridgerton, I chose not to watch the show as they have changed to many things from the books I love, same with Virgin River, I gave up even hate watching after like season 5 I think…. lol.

    Have a great week!

  2. I loved Bridgerton as well and now just want the next season now, lol. I really need to try a T. Kingfisher book some time. I’m behind on reading reviews, again, but can’t wait to catch up on the ones you posted this past week. Here’s hoping the books you read this week are good!

I’m glad they are already talking about Season 5, so hopefully we won’t have to wait two years!

  3. I still need to watch Bridgerton S4. For whatever reason I just haven’t felt like watching it…but it’ll be there, waiting for me. I hope your husband finds those owls, especially after not having success when he went to, what was it, somewhere in Latin America trying to find another bird?

    • Tammy

Yes, it will always be there! I find I have to be in the mood as well. Yep, he was looking for Harpy Eagles in Colombia, but this trip was more fruitful:-)

  4. Hope you get some comfortable weather soon. This coming week we’re supposed to cross 80 about mid-week, then cool back down a bit. Awesome seeing Badger on that empty road. At least someone gets some good use out of it until they can repair the damage.

Thanks Todd. Wow, 80 is getting up there! Yes, Badger loves being off leash, but we’re very careful with that.

  5. Virgin River starts this week??? I must have been hiding under a rock to have missed that information — exciting! I loved season 4 of Bridgerton too. Looking forward to your review of Wolf Worm. Have a great week!

I almost missed it too! I’m just finishing up my rewatch of Season 6. Have a great week!
