What’s On My Plate – March 2026

I feel like my March TBR is well balanced, with lots of different genres. It is bigger than it should be, so some of these might spill over into next month, but I am excited for each one. Here are the books I’d love to read this month:

Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher. I’ve read a bunch of fellow bloggers’ reviews already for this book, which makes me even more excited to read it! I hear it’s more on the dark side than cozy.

Crawlspace by Adam Christopher. This is getting some mixed reviews, but I hope to read it anyway. The cover is weird and creepy and I want to know what that thing is!

Nothing Tastes As Good by Luke Dumas. This will be my second book by the author, and this sounds great! It’s also getting pretty high ratings on Goodreads, so I’m hopeful it will be as good as it looks.

The Geomagician by Jennifer Mandula. Historical fantasy involving dinosaurs and magic? This sounds very quirky and I’m here for it!

A Widow’s Charm by Caitlyn Paxson. This is also getting great reviews, and I love the idea of a romantasy involving a necromancer.

Jitterbug by Gareth L. Powell. I am currently reading this and loving it! Powell’s books always meld exciting action and humor and have a wonderful found family vibe.

Nobody’s Baby by Olivia Waite. This is the second book in Waite’s delightful generation ship mystery series, and it was just as delightful as the first one!

The Curse of Hester Gardens by Tamika Thompson. I’ve been hearing really good things about this horror story, and I can’t wait to dive in.

The Cellar Below the Cellar by Ivy Grimes. This is a folk horror novella inspired by a fairy tale, from a new imprint of Apex Books.

A Spell For Saints and Sinners by Emily Carpenter. A Southern Gothic horror story being compared to You? I do hope this is as good as it sounds:-)

Whidbey by T. Kira Madden. This is a literary thriller that sounds fantastic! I won a Goodreads giveaway and I’m excited to read it.

A Lie For a Lie by Ren DeStefano. A thriller featuring a housewife with a secret side job? I’m very curious about this!

Do we have any books in common this month? What books are you excited to read in March?

  1. 12 books are a lot for sure! considering you have to write a review for each of them. But you’re so fast. A review usually takes me days to get written LOL.

Originally, I was interested in Crawlspace – but the early reviews made me realise that it wasn’t what I had envisioned it to be. I hope it works for you (it’s not like the reviews say it’s a bad book, all in all).

  2. We have two in common – Wolf Worm and The Geomagician, cant wait to see what we both think of them. Its exciting to hear that the former is more dark than cosy as I was intrigued by its gothic vibes. I havent heard of The Curse Of Hester Gardens but I’m curious now and I cant wait to see what you think of the Emily Carpenter book, I’ve had my eye on another title by her for a while. Hope you love all of these, sounds like a great TBR.

Thanks Charlotte! Wolf Worm was very weird and disturbing, and definitely missed the usual cozy vibe of the author.

  3. Wolf Worm is on my list this month and I’ve just started Lucky Day by Chuck Tingle and Doll Face by Lindy Ryan which is turning out to be a lot of fun. I hope you get everything read that you want to read this month!

Came over to see what you had lined up! Looks like it will be a good reading month, I’m definitely down for magic and dinosaurs

  5. Every single time I see or hear the name Hester, as in The Curse of Hester Gardens, I can’t help but picture and hear Shrike yelling “Hester Shaw!” in the Mortal Engines movie. 🙂 One day I should read that book, given how many times I’ve watched the movie.
