Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.
It’s a three day weekend in the U.S.! It’s also beautiful weather up here in the mountains, with temps in the 50s and 60s, so I’m pretty happy. I just finished watching His & Hers on Netflix, and loved it (and did not see that end coming!). I haven’t read the book yet, so it will be interesting to read the book after watching the show. I loved the Southern vibe, which I understand is different from the book. Now I want to watch Manifest, after reading Detour (Jeff Rake is the creator/writer). Has anyone seen it?
That’s about it, I hope everyone has a great week with lots of good books:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
It’s hard to believe we’re on the down slope of January. I still have three January releases to read, and I would love to get a couple of February books read this month too. We’ll see if I can pull that off! In the meantime, this week I have two reviews prepared so far: tomorrow look for Detour, so much fun! And Thursday come back for my review of House of Splinters, which was very scary! I’m almost finished with Enchanting the Fae Queen, and I love being back in this world. Next up will be On Sundays She Picked Flowers.
Other posts this week:
Tuesday I’m sharing my Reading Goals & Challenges for 2026! And Wednesday I have three new books for Future Fiction on Wednesday, stop by and check it out:-)
In case you missed:

Ooh, lovely long weekend for reading! I’m just about to start the Burgis book and I’m excited because I really liked the first in series. Can’t wait to read your thoughts on that one.
I think I’m a bit in love with Badger, I love seeing his pics.
Lynn 😀
Looking forward to your review of Detour
Badger! Yay for the long weekend and enjoy the weather by you,
I hope you’re having a nice holiday weekend! I’m off to go check out your Goblin review that I’ve missed because I’ve been traveling!
Aww! Badger looks like he’s having fun! I feel like I started Manifest, but kept scrolling on my phone, so need to go back and try to watch it with my phone not in my hand, lol. Can’t wait to check out your reviews. Enjoy the rest of our long weekend!
I should give that Stephanie Burgis series a go; I keep thinking about it, and hearing good things!
Love the photo of Badger.
Badger, isn’t that a bit chilly? I look forward to your thoughts on Detour. Those are nice temps; it is chilly here now.Enjoy the long weekend.
Enjoy your three days weekend Tammy! Also I read His & Hers years ago so I will probably watch the show!
Detour looks good. I really enjoyed the Netflix show Manifest so I think I would like it.
Hous eof Splinters also looks interesting.
Your dog is adorable.
I look forward to all you have lined up this week. Enjoy your extra day off, Tammy!
I just finished Detour! (Taking a little pause right now from writing my review…) . And yes, I’ve seen Manifest — definitely worth checking out! It was one of my pandemic binges… really hard to stop once I started. Wishing you a great week!
So glad to hear Detour is fun. I’ve been curious about that one!
Enjoy your extra day off! 🙂
