Welcome to Future Fiction, my reimagining of the Waiting on Wednesday meme! There are so many amazing new books coming out, that I can no longer pick just one. My goal with Future Fiction is to share at least three new books each week, a combination of recent cover reveals and books that I’ve recently added to my TBR pile. I’m still going to be linking up with Wishful Endings/Can’t Wait Wednesday, and I also want to give a shout out to Jill at Breaking the Spine for starting the original Waiting on Wednesday meme. Entwined (Entwined Duology #1) by H.M. Long. Releases in March 2026 from Titan Books. I’ve enjoyed Long’s books in the past, and this new duology sounds like fun! And the cover is fantastic.

Dark Is When the Devil Comes by Daisy Pearce. Releases in April 2026 from Minotaur Books. I’m in love with this creepy cover and the story sounds really good too. I haven’t read Pearce’s last book, Something in the Walls, but that’s on my TBR too.

The Flesh King (The Discreet Eliminators #2) by Richard Kadrey. Releases in October 2025 from Titan Books. I really enjoyed the first book in the series The Pale House Devil, and I was hoping Kadrey would continue the series!

I just found out about ENTWINED yesterday & was drawn in by the cover. But the premise sounds interesting, too—can’t say I’ve read much Gilded Age fantasy.
It’s not the most common time period to find in fantasy, but I’m very curious to see how the author handles it:-)
Okay, so I’m adding both horror books to my wish list. Of course, I need to read the first in the Kadrey series first as well as There is Something in the Walls. Great picks this week!
The first Kadrey book is a novella so it’s very quick. I really enjoyed it, it’s got a cool premise.

I definitely need Dark Is When the Devil Comes! The first one is probably a little too magical for me. The third sounds good too, but I need to read the first book! These are all new to me, so thanks for putting them on my radar!
The Richard Kadrey series is really good!
Ooh I love the cover of Entwined. I love the sound of Ashmarked by the author too but it looks like I’ve got to wait a while for that one. The Daisy Pearce book sounds interesting too. Hopefully we’ll both enjoy Something In The Walls when we get around to trying it too (its on my TBR as well)
