Future Fiction #314 – Cover Reveals & Newly Discovered SFF Books

Welcome to Future Fiction, my reimagining of the Waiting on Wednesday meme! There are so many amazing new books coming out, that I can no longer pick just one. My goal with Future Fiction is to share at least three new books each week, a combination of recent cover reveals and books that I’ve recently added to my TBR pile. I’m still going to be linking up with Wishful Endings/Can’t Wait Wednesday, and I also want to give a shout out to Jill at Breaking the Spine for starting the original Waiting on Wednesday meme. The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre by Philip Fracassi. Releases in September 2025 from Tor Nightfire. A serial killer story set in a retirement home? Hey, why not? In Fracassi’s hands, I’m sure this is going to be amazing.

The Faerie Morgana by Louisa Morgan. Releases in September 2025 from Redhook. I was so excited to see this book announced! I adore everything Louisa Morgan writes, and although this sounds a little out of my comfort zone, and very different from her usual books, I will of course be reading it:-)

Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy. Releases in March 2025 from Flatiron Books. After just reading and loving another post apocalyptic book, All the Water in the World, I’m drawn to this one because of that cover, but also the story sounds really good. This leans more towards mystery and literary fiction and although I don’t have time in my review schedule to request it, I’m going to buy a copy for sure. McConaghy wrote a book called Migrations that got really good reviews (I have a copy of that too!), which makes me want to read this even more.
