Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
After a brutal week at work, I’m so happy to be typing these words while I watch an episode of Riverdale Season 6 and getting ready to walk my dog. Hope everyone is having a great weekend too:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
It’s that panic time of the month where I realize my eyes are bigger than my stomach, or in book terms, I’ve taken on way more than I’m physically able to read. Which is a shame because my October TBR is so amazing! Still, I always try to stay positive and read as much as I can, realizing there is always next month to catch up (or not!) So here’s me throwing in a few last minute October titles that I may or may not get to right away. Look for my review of Such Sharp Teeth this week, and I’m currently reading The Hollow Kind and loving it! Two other books I’ve love to read are Lavender House and The Witch in the Well. If you all could think good thoughts for me, that would be great!
Other posts this week:
Tuesday I’m excited to present my Best Horror of 2022 So Far; Wednesday is a milestone: my 200th Future Fiction! And I have some great covers to share; The Friday Face-Off is “black cover;” and look for a book haul post on Saturday.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:

I am super interested in your review of Such Sharp Teeth. I can’t believe October is almost over as I too have a lot of books I would like to fit in! 🙂
Have a great day and happy reading!

Thanks Stormi, you too!
I always want to read more. This month there is probably a lot more horror available and I don’t read that much. I’m so glad you have the weekend to read and relax.

I live for the weekends, lol!
Glad to hear you’re able to get a little relaxing done this weekend after a hard week. Here’s hoping next week is much better. I’ve slowly come to terms with the realization I may never read all the books I’ve collected, but I still keep collecting them. I suppose one thought is that a day may come after I’ve retired when I both have more time and perhaps also less money to purchase books, so I’ll then start slowly making a dent in the stack. Another side of it all is that I’ve always been a collector of things, from drink coasters to matchboxes, comics, books, videos, etc, etc, etc, so I’m likely doomed when it comes to ever reducing the size of the TBR 🙂
I love Moses’ phot0 of the pair of egrets. Catching two species in flight near each other is amazing. And what a beautiful background the water makes with that nice soft gold glow.
I have that collector gene too, Todd. I’ve been buying books for a long time and many of them are still unread. But that’s OK because I’m glad to own them:-)
And thanks for your kind words about the photo. I love this one because of that gold light!
Your husband takes such amazing pictures! And oh my gosh, I had the same problem this past week with my eyes being bigger than my amount of time to read! I had to put two books aside since I didn’t have set review tour dates required of them. I just hope I can still get to them! Have a great week!

I hope we both find time to read this week:-)
I did walk my dog today too Tammy! And your hsuband’s picture is once again amazing!
Thanks Sophie!
Riverdale! I love that show although I kind of bogged down with it somewhere in S4? I should try to catch up. I just finished Such Sharp Teeth and LOVED it.

Everyone is talking trash about season 6, but I love it! It’s over the top but fun:-) Glad you loved Such Sharp Teeth!
I’m right there with you in the “eyes bigger than my stomach” category. I’m so far behind on my ARCS because of work. Man, if only we could get paid to read all day, haha. I hope you’re able to get everything read you’re hoping to this week!
that Egret pic is fantastic.
And, although a bit late, I’m sending positive reading vibes to you.
Lynn 😀
