Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Appropriately enough, I’m making my way through Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the 59th time, lol. I’m currently at the beginning of Season 5. After this I should really try a new show! Not much else going on at the moment, but I hope everyone is having a good weekend:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
Tomorrow I’ll post my review of Sallow Bend, which was a good time, full of creepy small town horror. I’m currently reading The Mother’s Wheel in preparation for my blog tour stop on August 30th, and I love being back in this world. This is the final book in Robin Kirk’s The Bond Trilogy, and it’s been quite the ride. Look for my review next week! Next up will be A Taste of Gold and Iron, which will be quite different from the first two books.
Other posts this week:
I’m sort of feeling a blogging slump at the moment, so I’m not sure what I’ll post this week. In fact as I’m writing this I still don’t have any books for Future Fiction on Wednesday. I haven’t seen many cover reveals lately, so I hope I can come up with something, lol. The Friday Face-Off is “Vacation time – the quest” but to be honest I’m not sure what that means. Maybe a road trip story?
I am struggling lately with my Can’t Wait Wednesday posts! I feel like the only new covers popping up are for YA books and I haven’t been super excited about any of them
I’ve been looking through lists on Goodreads and found a few new things, but yeah it slim pickings these days, lol.
What a gorgeous frog!
Isn’t The Mother’s Wheel a cool title? It’s intriguing.

I love the title, and when you figure out what it means, it’s even better:-)
That frog is so pretty! But I guess by all its colors also pretty venomous! Also, I have a confession: I never watched Buffy! 😉
I think you’re right, it’s probably a poisonous frog eeek!
I am always rewatching a favorite instead of trying something new…lol. Mine is Murder She Wrote. 🙂 I am curious about Shallow Bend so can’t wait to see your thoughts. I have been in a blogging slump for a while, Kathy post on my blog way more than I do or there would be nothing…lol.
Have a great week and have a great week!

Ooh I need to rewatch Murder She Wrote, that sounds like fun!
I’m sure I’ve said this before when you mentioned a previous rewatch of Buffy, but I’d really like to take the time to do a rewatch one of these days. I bought the entire series on DVD and haven’t rewatched it yet. And WOW, that tree frog looks crazy. Those stripes on the side almost have me wondering if it’s a skeletal tree frog. 🙂
I also have Buffy on DVD, but I’m not sure I have a working DVD anymore, lol. And yep, that frog is crazy looking right?
I started rewatching Buffy this summer, but didn’t get very far because of other newer things. I need to get back into it and watch it! Of course we’ll see when/if I have time! I also own them all on DVD, but for some reason I prefer to find them streaming these days and watch it that way. Which reminds me I need to go order the upcoming Outlander season DVD release in September, lol. Thanks for visiting my post earlier and looking at those comment sections on WordPress! Have a great week!

Streaming is so much easier, right? I have a bunch of shows I love on DVD but I don’t even think I have a DVD player anymore, lol. Thanks for stopping by Lisa:-)
I’m likewise struggling a bit with Waiting on Wednesday, and that just requires one book a week from me! I think cover reveals must be chilling a bit during these summer months. Enjoy your reading!

I think you’re right. Summer isn’t prime time for cover reveals, so I just have to look harder, lol.
Love the pic! And I can’t wait to start Eversion. Hoping to start that soon.
Can you believe I’ve never seen Buffy? I KNOW. I’m currently rewatching Travelers. Sometimes a rewatch is just what I need.

I think you’d love Buffy! But I get it, there’s something comforting about a good rewatch:-)
The huge dump of books released on August 23 has had me scrambling this month but then things will ease up a bit. I hope. I have the Sept and Oct schedule full but November is looking empty right now. Maybe I’ll catch up on a few things. I find getting organized helps keep me from slumping. But I have to keep on it. I hope you have a great week!

I’d love to catch up during November and December, great idea:-)
I’m not familiar with any of your upcoming review books for this week — looking forward to learning more!
Thanks Lisa:-)
Have you seen Fringe, or maybe Supernatural? That last one would keep you busy for a lifetime or so lol
I was actually thinking of rewatching Supernatural:-)
I hope the blogging slump lifts – it’s annoying when it strikes:)). Right now, I have to take one day at a time and there still far too many when I don’t have the energy to see to the boys’ needs AND open up the computer! But, as ever, you have some lovely books lined up and I hope the coming week is a good one.
Thank you Sarah! That is a lot on your plate. Take care!
I’m so curious about A Taste of Gold and Iron, I’ll be looking forward to hearing your thoughts! I’ve been in a little slump myself lately and am just glad when I can get up regular posts. I’m not usually a big frog person, but that one is pretty cute, especially it’s eyes! I do love all their colors, even if that means we shouldn’t get too close, haha.

I think my husband mentioned that all the frogs in Costa Rica have some kind of poisonous aspect to them!
I hope the blogging slump doesn’t last long. I’ve been struggling with blogging too but mine is more just busy with work and helping with homework now that my kid back in school.
That’s one thing about kids in school that I don’t miss – homework:-)
That frog photo is fantastic – so colourful.
