Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Well, the weather is really hot here all of a sudden! It’s heading into the 90s this week and I’m not looking forward to it. In happier news, I’m finally taking a trip to see my parents this weekend, the first time since our socially distanced Christmas visit. I can’t wait!
Upcoming reviews:
Tomorrow I’ll be posting my review of The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton. It was funny and cute and I loved the dialog, but it wasn’t at all what I was expecting. I enjoyed it but didn’t love it quite as much as I hoped. I just started reading Ten Low by Stark Holborn and so far I’m intrigued! I hope to finish it and get a review up later in the week.
Upcoming reads:
I really have no idea what I’m reading next. I feel a mood reading situation coming on, lol. I would like to start For the Wolf next, but after that we shall see. Perhaps To Dust You Shall Return or Rabbits?
Other posts:
Tuesday I’m going to show you how I did on my Five Star Predictions for the First Half of 2021. I predicted ten books that I would rate five stars. Curious? Check back to see how that went! Wednesday is Future Fiction and three new cover reveals I’ve spotted, and The Friday Face-Off is “dizzy/out of perspective.”

Adrift by W. Michael Gear – Review 4.5/5 stars
I’ve been eyeing Rabbits for some time now, and it sounds weird enough to appeal to my tastes, but I’m still undecided…. Maybe staring a little more at those lovely ducklings will prove helpful, who knows? 😉

I’m struggling with burnout this week, so I can’t recommend anything. I liked Rabbits, but it may or may not work for you. It’s heading into the 90’s here, too! Ahhh, the nice warm 90’s. Hope you have a good (and maybe even productive) week
Can’t wait for your For the Wolf review to see if I should keep it on my list or not. 🙂 It was on my anticipated list but at the same time I wasn’t sure about it…lol.
I’m starting Catalyst Gate this week, excited to finish the series!

I hope you have a great trip to your parents. I just went on a day trip with my folks for the first time in over a year. It was nice to get back out again, even if things are still a bit different. Have a great week, Tammy!
Yeah I’m not excited but July / August are coming and we will have more heat too. Luckily this week is supposed to be 80s and mostly dry. Of course, I have projects in mind. Enjoy your family visit!

I’m reading Rabbits right now… it’s so weird! I’ve had too many distractions this weekend to be able to concentrate fully, but I hope to plow through it in the next couple of days. Enjoy!
I think we’ll be spending much of the week indoors ourselves and out of the heat. I am glad you liked The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels, even if you didn’t love it. I look forward to your review. I hope you continue to enjoy Ten Low and your upcoming reads. Such an amazing photo of the ducks! I hope you have a great week, Tammy!
Ooh I’m looking forward to the 5-star predictions update, that sounds like fun! And I hear you on the mood read thing, trying to beat a looong reading slump as a mood reader is a pain.

The Wisteria Society seems so different than what you usually read! I’m also in the middle of Rabbits right now, and it’s really strange, but I’m digging it 🙂
I’ve been struggling to read this week, I can’t seem to get into anything and I am so sad because there are so many June books I bought and can’t read. I hope you enjoy For the Wolf as that’s on my list. And oh no about the heat! I live close to the coast in San Diego and it hasn’t been above 75 here but I’m not looking forward to visiting my parents next weekend as they live inland and yuck. Stay cool!

I’m always jealous of San Diego weather, since it never gets really hot there. My parents live in the desert so it will be even hotter there!
Yay for getting to visit your parents. I hope you have a lovely time with them. I’m really looking forward to your review of Rabbits. That one caught my eye a while back but I’ve been waiting to read some reviews before I commit to it, lol.
I’ve been hearing weird things about Rabbits but that’s sort of my wheelhouse so hopefully I will enjoy it:-)
Enjoy your visit! If all goes asnplanned I would visit my parents next weekend and I am soooo looking forward to it! Even more so because where they live is not as hot and humid as where I live!
My parents live in the desert, lol, so it will be hotter than it is here. Hope you enjoy your visit too!
I’m really curious about To Dust You Shall Return, I don’t really know much about it! Rabbits is a pretty wild ride, that’s for sure. I’ve been in a very mood reading mindset lately, although it’s been tricky to figure out just what my mood is, haha. Hope you have a great week and enjoy whichever book you pick!
Also, I love the ducks!
Ha ha my mood has been weird too!
Ooh, that Ten Low cover looks interesting! Just checked out your review for the Wisteria Society. Hope you’re having a good week!

Another beautiful pic from your hubby. Love that. It’s been really hot here, too. Stay cool, Tammy!
I love that cover for Rabbits and look forward to your review.
And look at the lovely baby ducklings.
Lynn 😀
Hope you enjoyed your visit with your parents!
