Buffy’s Corner 12/13/20 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D

Hope everyone is staying safe out there! I am trying to finish up my Christmas shopping and decorating and looking forward to a couple of long weekends off work coming up soon:-D I have a few new hubby photos to share today, I love these:

I have to say, these look so good with my snowflakes falling on them, lol. It looks like the coyote is standing in snow, but we don’t have snow here. That’s only sand. I love how the turkey vulture is posing for the camera, I just want to pet his feathers!!

Upcoming reviews:

Secret Santa was a fun, mildly scary Christmas story that takes place in New York City in the 1980s. I’ll give you more details in my review tomorrow. And I hope to have a review of We Hear Voices up later in the week. Hmm, two horror titles, I guess that means I enjoy reading horror year round!

Upcoming reads:

I’ll definitely be reading Betty next, since I promised the author I would get a review up before Christmas. After that, I’ll see what I’m in the mood for, either The Blade Between or A Deadly Education.

The usual memes…

This Tuesday’s “end of the year” list is appropriate for 2020, I think. I’ll be listing 10 2020 Apocalyptic Books You Might Have Missed. On Wednesday, I have a couple of exciting cover reveals for Future Fiction, don’t miss it! And on Friday, the Friday Face-Off is “Stylized.”

#SciFiMonth Giveaway Winners!

I’m happy to announce the two winners of my #SciFiMonth Giveaway! Congrats to Judith S. who chose Persephone Station (which comes out in a couple of weeks!) and Arina N. who chose The Ones We’re Meant to Find. Both books will be preordered for my winners:-D And thank you to everyone who entered!

In case you missed…

  1. That coyote really does have some fantastic eye contact, really nice. And I love the cormorant silhouette with that warm gold light. It’s funny you have the 2 horror titles right now as I’m currently reading Stephen King’s collection, If It Bleeds. Almost anytime can be a great time for a nice dose of horror.

  2. Thanks for sharing the photos. I just don’t read horror much but I am looking forward to apocalyptic books because I enjoy those. They sometimes have a horror vibe but I like the survivalist themes. Have a great week Tammy!

  3. I agree about it seeming like the coyote is standing in snow. That’s what I thought when I briefly saw it before another photo popped up. The photos are amazing. Looks like they were waiting for his camera.

  4. I took a week off next week and am looking forward to it. I hope you are able to get all your shopping done soon. I think I’m officially done. Just waiting on a couple more orders to come in the mail. I love your husband’s photos. So beautiful. The snowflakes are a nice touch. 🙂 I hope you enjoy your reading! Have a great week, Tammy.
