The Friday Face-Off was created by Books by Proxy, where each week bloggers can showcase books with covers centered around a weekly theme. You can visit Lynn’s Books for a list of upcoming themes. Join in the fun each Friday by finding a book whose cover is based on the theme!
This week’s theme: “The future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.” – A cover that is bright.
I immediately thought of Bunny by Mona Awad for this prompt, even though a) I haven’t read it and b) it’s not science fiction. Oh well! I guess it would also work well as a “rabbit” prompt but hey, here we are with “bright.” I love all these covers, check them out:
U.S. Viking hardcover edition 2019 | Penguin Books Canada edition 2020
Head of Zeus (UK) hardcover edition 2019 | Head of Zeus (UK) paperback edition 2020
This is tough, I think all of these are great covers. But I’m drawn to the bright pink background of the Canadian edition, so for me, that’s the winner:
I like the Head of Zeus hardcover: the rabbit presenting his behind to the reader has something of a tongue-in-cheek flavor that I find amusing 🙂

I agree, I need to read the book so I can see if that cover has hidden meaning:-)
They’re all fab, hard to choose . . . I pick the UK paperback because there’s more of that fun handwritten text.

I loved the fourth cover.

Me too, the “real” bunny is just so cute.
None of these really stand out for me, but I’ll pick the Head of Zeus hardcover edition. It leaves me curious why??? 🙂
I have a feeling that cover has something to do with the story. I need to read it and find out:-)
Oh I love all of these! I love the adorable real bunnies on the UK editions, but I think the US and Canada editions stand out a bit more.
It’s hard to choose, right?
BUNNIES! I like the Head of Zeus (UK) hardcover edition 2019 the most. I just love bunny tails!

I agree, that one is super cute:-)
Oh, I kind of love all of these covers! But I do like the pink one, it’s just so…pink! 🙂
I was drawn to the pink cover too, very bright!
It’s cute! I think I like the last one where you see the details of the bunny!
I like that one too:-)
I like the rabbit presenting his backside to us – it’s a really quirky, cheeky view and unusual, which seems to nicely sum up the book. What a lovely choice, Tammy:)).
I like that one too, so cute!
Hard to choose but I think the Head Of Zeus paperback looks the most fun.

That one is getting lots of votes:-)
I was trying to decide between the top two but I think your favourite wins because I like the yellow font. Great choice
I love the combo of bright colors:-)
I’m going for the UK paperback, that’s an adorable bunny!
I love that one too:-)
