The Friday Face-Off: Bright

The Friday Face-Off was created by Books by Proxy, where each week bloggers can showcase books with covers centered around a weekly theme. You can visit Lynn’s Books for a list of upcoming themes. Join in the fun each Friday by finding a book whose cover is based on the theme!

This week’s theme: “The future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.” – A cover that is bright.

I immediately thought of Bunny by Mona Awad for this prompt, even though a) I haven’t read it and b) it’s not science fiction. Oh well! I guess it would also work well as a “rabbit” prompt but hey, here we are with “bright.” I love all these covers, check them out:

U.S. Viking hardcover edition 2019 | Penguin Books Canada edition 2020

Head of Zeus (UK) hardcover edition 2019 | Head of Zeus (UK) paperback edition 2020

This is tough, I think all of these are great covers. But I’m drawn to the bright pink background of the Canadian edition, so for me, that’s the winner:

Which one do you like best?

  1. None of these really stand out for me, but I’ll pick the Head of Zeus hardcover edition. It leaves me curious why??? πŸ™‚

  2. I like the rabbit presenting his backside to us – it’s a really quirky, cheeky view and unusual, which seems to nicely sum up the book. What a lovely choice, Tammy:)).
