Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.
There’s a hurricane off the coast of California, although it’s not supposed to touch down, luckily. We will probably get some rain from it, though.
I am currently cataloguing my “S” books (author’s last name that starts with S) and this is probably my biggest letter as far as quantity goes. When I’m done with this letter, I feel like the rest of the alphabet will go fairly quickly. I’m so ready to be done with this project! See my S’s below.

Usually I try to read my review books in order of publication date, but sometimes I’m just not feeling it and I veer off my plan. This week I decided to start Newbourne Park, even though it doesn’t come out until the end of the month. Just because I can, lol, and it’s one of my most anticipated books of the month! Oooh it was good. My review will be up tomorrow. My next three books will most likely be This Movie Doesn’t End the Way We Want, Something of a Calling and She’s a Doll.

I’m debating whether to put something together for the Top Ten Tuesday “Indie” freebie, we’ll see if I can find the time; otherwise I just have Future Fiction planned on Wednesday. After the craziness of Summer of Horror, it’s nice to scale back a little on blogging.

Do you use an app to catalogue your books?
Yes, it’s called Bookshelf. I’m using a free version and it works great so far!
Badger is adorable as always! I should inventory and catalog my books at some point. Maybe it would help me get rid of more if I did that too. Mine are kind of alphabetized, but in different categories as I started doing an autographed/favorite author section behind my desk in those bookcases. And I have a nonfiction section and a YA/kids book section. Guess the librarian/former bookseller part of me is still around. I saw the hurricane on the news this morning. It’s crazy how many are out there right now! I hope you have a good week! I’m so ready for the heat to be done here.

We didn’t get hit by the hurricane, luckily. I am pretty far inland so there was never much worry about it. But we did get some wonderful rain!

That cataloging project sounds like a huge task! I’m far enough north that I think the hurricane will just cause my area of CA to have some unsettled weather, but a little rain would be nice. I hope you get some helpful rain from it.
It is a huge task, I’ve been working on it for three years, lol. My husband has been so patient, lol. We did get some nice rain on Sunday, and now it’s sunny again.
I hope you get the rain you want/need and no other bad weather 😀
That project is insane, I hope you share some pictures of your shelves when you’re finished – I can’t resist looking at bookshelves (I need to get out more).
Can’t wait to see what you thought of Newbourne. I have a copy but I think mine has a different release date so I’ll probably keep it back for a little longer.
Badger is such a cutie. I would probably be hugging him all day (I do this with my dogs and they’re like – ‘get off’, but then they come in for more). Badger makes me think of a big bear.

I’ve been desperate to read Kiss, Slay, Replay. Kudos for organizing your books. I desperately need to do the same, but it’s so overwhelming. Awww, Badger looks so happy surveying his kingdom, LOL.
