May Flowers – Twelve Fantasy Books with Flowers on the Cover #wyrdandwonder26

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog.

I love today’s prompt! To celebrate Spring and all the flowers blooming this season, I’ve found twelve upcoming/recently released fantasy books with flowers on the cover. Flowers are a popular cover element, so there is lots to choose from! OK, I will admit a few of these are more horror than fantasy, but I couldn’t resist the way they look with the other covers, so I’m going with it.

I’m not linking them, due to lack of time, but let me know if you’ve read or plan to read any of these!

  1. They are all so pretty! And I have to say – the UK version of Thistlemarsh also has a lovely illustration of bluebells and is gorgeous. It’s also a cracking read:)). Thank you for sharing, Tammy.

  2. I’ve got The Faraway Inn on my TBR but a lot of these look intriguing so I’ll definitely be checking them out on GR! The cover for Thistlemarsh is especially stunning

  3. Nicky @ The Bibliophibian

It’s surprising how dark some of the covers are, I’d have expected more bright sunny covers with flowers, but I found the same…

Speculative fiction covers are often darker, so I was able to find some almost “creepy” flower covers:-)

  4. Veros @ Dark Shelf of Wonders

You’re so right, these covers look gorgeous together! I recently read The Spellshop and loved it so much I can’t wait to dig into the rest of that series and The Faraway Inn looks fun but also slightly creepy and I don’t know if it’s because of the colour or because of the other covers its paired with lol. So many of these are ones I want to read! Obsessed with your choices.

  5. Ooh these all look so stunning together. Ive only read Lady Tremaine but I’m excited for a fair few of the others. Thistlemarsh, Honeysuckle and Rottenheart especially intrigue me. Along with The Art Of Charming A Changeling as a fae title by an author whose previously blown me away sounds like a match made in heaven.

I’m really excited for The Art of Charming A Changeling, like you I loved the author’s last book:-)

  6. This is such a fun prompt, and it’s honestly made for a really beautiful post! I really love the cover for The River Muse and Lady Tremaine in particular, but something about that yellow in WIildflower really makes it stand out.

  7. Flowers seem to be very popular on covers at the moment don’t they. I’ve only read Death’s Daughter but I’d also like to read The Faraway Inn.
    Lynn 😀
