I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog.
Today the prompt is books with ordinal numbers in the title, and I was able to find one book each for “first through tenth.” (actually I found multiple books for some of the numbers). This is a mix of books I’ve read and books on my TBR, and I’m linking to my reviews or Goodreads. Here we go!

Dead First by Johnny Compton

Her Second Chance Shifter by L. MacNaughton

The Third Rule of Time Travel by Philip Fraassi

The Fourth Consort by Edward Ashton
The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
The Sixth Nik by Daniel Kraus
The Seventh Veil of Salome by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones

Ninth Life by Stark Holborn

I found books first through tenth also! 😀
We rule!
Great list and fun idea to put them in order. I like the cover of The Tenth Girl.
I love that cover too, so mysterious…
Ooh I don’t see many people posting Darynda Jones! I read one of her mysteries and loved it but it was so long ago!
I have never read her books, but I always hear good things!
What a cool topic. I started that Darynda Jones series a long time ago and forget how far I got but I remember liking it a lot.
I haven’t read any of the series, but it was the only book I could find for “eighth” lol.
The Fifth Season was on my list as well.
I’ve seen it on lots of lists:-)
I had Third Rule of Time Travel too! I also started with going in order, but decided to only include books I’ve read, so that ruled out a few 🙂
Oh that would be hard, to only use books you’ve read:-)
I tried doing this as well but didn’t have anything for sixth or eighth! I also had Fifth Season and Seventh Veil on my list today though. All of these picks look really interesting 🙂
“Eighth” was a tough one!
Wow, good job on all these! I’m struggling to find ten for any ordinal number, haha.
It’s a tough prompt, so I had to do some googling, lol.
Love your list so many cool looking books on it and it’s in order ! brb gotta go look up The Fourth Consort…and I need to read The Fifth Season still!
Here’s my TTT this week:

The Fifth Season is amazing!
Really hoping to finally read The Fifth Season and Seventh Veil Of Salome this year. The Tenth Girl I also love the sound of but the Goodreads rating has me pretty concerned. Im not sure if I have titles for every number but I’m now curious to find out.
I need to finish the last book in the Jemison series at some point:-)
Bravo for making it from 1-10. I had to use my TBR and even skip two numbers!
I do have a recent scifi listed, but you probably read it.

I had to use both my TBR and read books, not surprising:-)
This is exactly what I wanted (and failed) to do with my list. Brava!
Thanks Alicia! It’s sort of a tough prompt…
I’m so bad at coming up with additions to themes like this. For some reason my mind just goes blank. So kudos to you for finding all these titles.
I admit I did some googling and search though Goodreads titles, but mostly I already had these in my blog media library so it wasn’t too hard to find most of them:-)
I haven’t read any of these.
Maybe you’ll get the chance:-)
I guess I could have done my whole list with Darynda Jones books. 🙂
Right?? I thought about that too:-)
I love it! Great job on getting all the ordinal numbers from first through tenth.
Thanks! It was tough but fun:-)
I had to fudge my list 😉
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
LOL I get it. I spent way too much time searching for this prompt!
Nice! I can only think of a couple books I’ve read with ordinal numbers in the title and none of them are on this list…
Happy TTT!

They can be tricky to find!
You nailed that one Tammy!
Thanks Sophie!
I gave up with this week’s topic – which is very bad but I couldn’t get my head around it – and yet I’ve read No.5 and 7! Doh.
Lynn 😀
It took me a while to find my list, it definitely required some work, lol.
