Buffy’s Corner 3/1/26 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

We went from lots of snow and temps in the 20s-30s to no snow and temps in the 50s-60s, in the space of a week! Our snow is pretty much gone and some of our trees are already starting to bloom. I know we have more snow coming at some point, but I’m loving the weather right now!

I just started watching part 2 of Bridgerton Season 4. How about that Episode 5 ending?? I’ll probably finish it up this weekend. I hope everyone has a good week:-D

Upcoming reads & reviews:

I’m on my second March release, so I’m feeling good about the new month so far:-) I just finished Nobody’s Baby (lots of fun!) and I’m currently reading Jitterbug. I should have reviews for both up this week. Then I’m going back to a February release I missed, The Red Winter, and after that I’ll probably dive into Wolf Worm.

Other posts this week:

Tomorrow I’m sharing my March TBR. Spoiler alert: it’s a rather ambitious one! Tuesday is a Top Ten Tuesday genre freebie, so you know I can’t pass that up; and Wednesday is Future Fiction, stop by and see three new books & cover reveals I’ve found.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

February 2026 Reading Wrap-Up

Dead First by Johnny Compton – Review 4.5/5 stars

Over-Booked – February Book Haul

Future Fiction #371

The Rise by Alan Baxter – Review 5/5 stars

Buffy’s Corner 2/22/26

  1. Badger always finds ways to amuse himself :). Too bad snow is melting (bad for him LOL. It must be a huge relief for every human…at least the adult ones!).
Good luck with that ambitious TBR list for the month!

    • Tammy

He’s very playful! I hope he stays that way, even when he gets older. Thanks Roberta! I’m looking forward to my March TBR for sure!

  2. Yesterday it was 61 degrees here, but today it’s only supposed to get up to 35. Spoiled again! Also, I finished up the new episodes of Bridgerton and I would say this season has been my favorite of the whole series. Also, there is an end credits scene after the last episode of the season that is really nice.

  3. Nobody’s Baby looks good, can’t wait to read your review of that one! The ending of episode 5 was good, but episode 6 of Bridgerton made me cry so much! I had planned to ration so that I’d watch the last episode tonight, but it was not too late when I finished 7, so I just finished the last one last night too. It was really good! Definitely left it setting up for next season and I CAN’T wait! Hope you have a good week. Love that Badger found the lost boot, lol. We might have a bit of snow today, but it’s been warm enough we’ll probably just get rain. But I am missing the 70 degree temps we had the past few days.

    • Tammy

I can’t wait to finish Bridgerton, I’m so curious about all the different plot threads. I hope your temps go back into the 70s soon!

  4. I see that Badger loves shoes as much as my own puppies do! And yes the weather is crazy these days but at the moment we enjoy spring weather. And I finished season 4 yesterday I loved it better than Colin and Penelope .

    • Tammy

Oh yes, he loves shoes, actually he loves anything weird like that he finds on a walk:-) Once I finish Bridgerton I’m going back to watch the whole season again!

    • Tammy

Ooh planting sounds like fun. We aren’t supposed to plant up here until after Mother’s Day, because it can snow and/or freeze up until then. Crazy right?

  5. The weather has been crazy! It got so warm last week. We are up in Mammoth this weekend and there’s tons of leftover snow, but its 40-50s too now. I am so curious to hear your thoughts on The Red Winter, and I really want to get to Wolf Worm soon, too. Looking forward to your Top Ten Tuesday (and catching up on posts I’ve missed!)

    • Tammy

I remember hearing about all the snow Mammoth got! I love it up there, we used to go in the Summer every year:-)

  6. Our weather has also been really nice and it’s great, if gives me so much more energy to get on with things than when the weather is drab.
Good luck with your reading this month. I’m looking forward to that ambitious list of books.
And badger, what can I say, I think I’d just be hugging him every five minutes.
    Lynn 😀

  7. I’m so excited to read the Red Winter! I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. My dog Howard is very sad about the lack of snow as of this week! Great Pyrenees love the cold

    • Tammy

Me too Preston! I think Howard would get along great with Badger, he loves the snow so much:-)

  8. There’s an upcoming Book Tour for “WolfWorm” with T. Kingfisher!!! I’m going to the stop in my region! Is she going anywhere near where you live?

  9. Badger looks so accomplished with that boot. How adorable is he? I’ve not watched Bridgerton and am currently working The Pitt Season 2. I was afraid it was be ER part 2 but am really loving how it is being written and filled.

  10. My father showed me where lots of bulb-based flowers are shooting up green stalks, and a couple already have buds forming. I was surprised to see that. Spring is arriving. 🙂 I love that cover for Milk Teeth!
