January was an EXCELLENT month of reading. Not only did I get ahead by reading some of these in December, but overall I enjoyed everything I read. I had two five star reads this month, which is something that doesn’t happen that often! This is also a nice mix of genres, and I’m very happy with the way everything turned out. Here are the books I reviewed in January, and you can click on the titles to check out my reviews:

Yay! I am so glad you had an amazing reading (and reviewing) month!! Let’s hope the other months will follow January example!!
Exactly! I hope you have a great February too:-)
I love this month of reads 🙂 I picked up A Box Full of Darkness and Detour yesterday. Looking forward to them!
I can’t wait to hear what you think!
You had a great month!
Thanks Stormi!
Congrats on a great reading month! Wishing you even more amazing books in February!
Thank you! February is starting out pretty good:-)
An excellent reading month indeed!
Man, this reminded me how much I prefer that cover of Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter over the UK cover…
I usually like the UK covers better than US covers, but in this case I agree with you!
Glad you had such a great month. I was so slow but I had some 5 heart reads. Make It Out Alive by Allison Brennan, Twelve Months by Jim Butcher, Her Cold Justice by Robert Dugoni and Stolen in Death by JD Robb.
That’s quite a few 5 star reads, congrats:-)
You had an excellent month. I also managed to get back on track a little this month so hope February is as good. I’ve already read two of my books and I’ve just started the Heather Fawcett and really enjoying it so far.
Lynn 😀
It’s nice to be ahead. I was so ahead in January, but I know that never lasts, lol. I am on my fourth February book, though, so I’m ahead at the moment!
My favorite book in January was Ancillary Sword by Ann Leckie! From your list, so far I’ve only read Through Gates of Garnet and Gold, but I just picked up my copy of Enchanting the Fae Queen today and I’m hoping to get to it in early February.
I really need to try Ancillary Sword one of these days!
Glad you had a good reading month despite all the stuff going on that’s super distracting. 🙁 Mine was good in the sense that I got 4 ARCs read, so I was super happy about that. But I just made a full list of all my ARCs and now I’m feeling behind, lol!!
ARCs are both the highlight and the bane of blogging, lol.
Fabulous! I wish you another great reading month
Thanks Emma:-)
You had an amazing January! Really envious of your output lol. To be fair, I have a couple of January books I’ve read but just still need to be reviewed. And I am now going to try extra hard to get to On Sundays She Picked Flowers, I got a surprise audio copy and now I’m glad I did!
Well to be fair, I did read a bunch of these in December, so it looks like I read a lot, lol.
Im glad your reading year got off to such an incredible start, always an amazing feeling. Two five star reads already is fantastic too and the way you described both of those made them definite must reads for me. That 4 and a half rating dor Agnes Aubert is very exciting to see too. Im avoiding all reviews of it until I’ve had a chance to read it but I’ve shared your review to check out later. Besides that I think I’ve read all of your reviews and am happy to see that nothing was too lowly rated for you. I’ve somehow already had a two star read this year which is highly unusual for me.
*saved your review
I guess we are bound to have some disappointing reads, maybe better to get it over with early in the year:-)
What a wonderful start to the year, Tammy:)). Let’s hope it continues in the same vein during February.
I think these are some of my favorite posts, when you’ve had a great month with lots of amazing reads. It helps get me excited for the next month. My favorite 5 star read of January was Bernard Cornwell’s The Pale Horseman.
Lightfall 2 (graphic novel) and Nine Goblins were my favrite reads of January. I will be starting the new Heather Fawcett this week 😀
I also had a wonderful reading month with some great books in January! I told myself I was going to make sure to pick a monthly favorite this year but then forgot to do it. So I went back this week and it is so hard with all the good ones I read! I think I picked two that weren’t by favorite authors that I knew I would love, The Roommate Arrangement and Love Me Tomorrow. I might even need to pick a favorite audio to help me decided on one for sure next month. We shall see. I almost bought How to Lose a Goblin in 10 Days at B&N this week because I’d seen so many good reviews, but I resisted! lol.
