I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog.
I’m always adding books to my TBR, so today’s prompt was very easy for me! The ten books below are ones I haven’t talked about yet, and you’ll notice the genres are all over the place. You can click on the links for more information, and these are listed in no particular order:
I’ll Watch Your Baby by Neena Viel. “A suffocating and sharp narrative horror novel for fans of Victor LaValle and The Reformatory, I’ll Watch Your Baby is a haunting reimagining of Linda Taylor -known as the original Welfare Queen – pursued, scrutinized, celebrated and vilified, and the impact her image has had for generations.“
The Anniversary by Alex Finlay. “The Anniversary is an utterly compelling story of the hunt for a serial killer. But it’s also a heartfelt—and heartrending—novel about fate, innocence lost, and two souls who find that sometimes being broken is the only way for the light to get in.”
Find Me by Holly Craig. “From the bestselling author of The Shallows and The Rip comes a terrifying survivalist thriller as two sisters navigate the eerie Tasmanian wilderness, perfect for fans of Jane Harper and Yellowjackets.”
The Secret Attic by Chelsea Conradt. “Addison Lowe knew her mother-in-law despised her, but inheriting Barb’s massive estate after her death feels less like closure and more like a trap. Barb’s hoarded rooms aren’t just filled with clutter—they’re filled with secrets. And it’s Addison’s job to unearth them while Luke grieves the loss of the mother he could never let go of.”
Nerve Damage by Annakeara Stinson. “A riotous revenge novel about a woman’s quest to escape her stalker ex-boyfriend—by stalking him herself.”
Absence by Andrew Dana Hudson. “In this gripping, moving, and genre-blending speculative debut, the world is unraveling from an epidemic of human vanishing. Two rookie agents from the Bureau of Depopulation Affairs are dispatched to small-town Kansas to investigate a woman who claims to have returned from Spontaneous Human Absence, offering answers that could change everything.”
Underlake by Erin L. McCoy. “A richly glittering debut about the interlocked fates of two women, raised worlds apart, who must join forces on an extraordinary journey, diving leagues beneath the water’s surface—and straight into the fathomless heart of fear, forgiveness, and love.”
The Intrigue by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. “From the New York Times bestselling author of Mexican Gothic and Velvet Was the Night comes a sizzling noir about desire, danger, and greed, in which seduction is the ultimate con.”
Siren Says by Jennifer Herrera. “A lush, spellbinding tale about a tenacious young woman who must harness her family’s dangerous magic to put a stop to the sacrifices they’ve been making for more than a century.”
Imagine a Friend by David Quantick. “IMAGINE A FRIEND is a story about happiness, friendship – and being invisible to the person you love most.”

Some wild ones here!
Awesome haul!
Absence has a cool cover.
So many sound great! Imagine a Friend really catches my eye — looking forward to hearing more about it!
Great additions!
Thanks for sharing your #TTT, and wishing you a happy new year
I’ll Watch Your Baby by Neena Viel has got to be the scariest book title I have ever seen.
Great list!
I’ll Watch Your Baby sounds intriguing.
These are all new to me! Absence sounds the most intriguing.
I haven’t heard of most of these but Siren Says sounds really interesting.
Two of these have a great combination of cover and title that immediately got my attention: Find Me and The Secret Attic.
The Anniversary amd I’ll Watch Your Baby both sound really interesting!
I’ll Watch Your Baby & The Secret Attic are going on my wishlist!
Oh, Siren Says sounds and looks like one I’d enjoy! I hope you love all of these!
These all look good, nice cover on Siren Says. Happy reading!
Some great choices that I need to go away and look more closely at. I mean, I wouldn’t want to run out of books.
Lynn 😀
Can’t wait for The Intrigue and I just love how ominous the title “I’ll Watch Your Baby” is.
I haven’t heard of any of these before but I’m very intrigued by Siren Says and Imagine A Friend, adding them both to my tbr 🙂
I’ll Watch Your Baby and Siren Says both sound amazing. Thanks for putting them on my radar.
This is the first time I heard of any of them but they sound interesting! I hope you will enjoy them all!!
A book with The Intrigue as title must be intriguing, right? I hope so!

These look like fun; I hope you enjoy them! And ooh, a new Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Her work is always so interesting, even when it’s not in genres I usually read. Happy New Year!
I hope they’ll all be enjoyable.
I have a couple of recent and upcoming on my list: https://wordsandpeace.com/2025/12/30/top-ten-books-most-recently-added-to-my-bookshelf/
It’s a great list but The Anniversary is the one most tempting to me!
I usually check out your recently added books lists to see what I need to keep on my radar. I wouldn’t know where to start looking for upcoming releases these days so thanks for doing the work!
I’m very excited about The Intrigue too and love the cover for Siren Says. Having just looked the full blurb up for The Secret Attic it sounds chilling. I’ve jotted it down as another Summer Of Horror TBR contender. I hope you enjoy all of these.
