Buffy’s Corner 12/7/25 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

Work was crazy busy this week, so I’m taking it easy this weekend. My brain is in Christmas gear right now and that’s distracting me a bit from reading and blogging. But I expect that to happen in December! Not much else to report, although I have gone down a Stranger Things Season 5 rabbit hole listening to various theories about how the show is going to end. I’m so stressed!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

I was so busy at work last week I didn’t have time to write a second review, so tomorrow I’m posting my review of Tea & Alchemy, which was a nice twist on the vampire story, and later in the week I’ll share my thoughts on Snake-Eater. Next up, I’m grabbing The Storm—I cannot wait any longer! And after that, just for a change of pace, I’ll probably read 30Seven.

Other posts this week:

Top Ten Tuesday this week is a “snow” theme, although I did something similar last year, so I’m not sure if I can come up with anything new. Hmm. Wednesday is Future Fiction, and as always I have three new books/cover to share!

In case you missed:

  1. I’m seeing a lot of enthusiasm about Snake-Eater! I could’ve got it on Netgalley I think, but I’ve been reading a lot of Kingfisher’s work lately and wanted to space things out more. Hope you enjoyed it though!

  2. Ahh, *deep sigh* if only I had a copy of The Storm.
Hope work is a little calmer in the forthcoming week.
And, yes, there’s such a lot going on at the moment that it’s difficult to get ahead with reading or blogging.
    Lynn 😀
    P.S. Beautiful Badger

  3. I did see you put up a review for THE EVERLASTING, but I’ll make a mental note to come back to it after I finish reading it. I just started it last night. If I can keep my attention in check, maybe I’ll even finish it this week! Fingers crossed.

  4. Love that photo of your cute dog! And I’ve been finding it hard to concentrate on reading or reviewing any of my library books. I think I’m running tired…and missing the sunshine with these shortened winter days of cloudy skies and rain.

  5. I’m not looking at anything to do with Stranger Things yet! Since I’m waiting till the end of this month to resubscribe to Netflix and then I need to rewatch the whole series before I start the new ones. :-). Things sure do seem to get crazy and busy this month! I’m still catching up on your reviews, so many good ones I can’t wait to check out. Hope you have a good week, and Badger looks so handsome!

  6. Work, work work! Grrr… well, it is what it is, I suppose. Hope things calm down a bit for you and that you still have at least a little time for reading. Love that view of Badger!

Thanks Todd! I do wish work were a little more chill right now, but like you said, it is what it is:-)

  7. Yes… December is always desperately busy – too many chores and not enough hours in the day to go around:)). One of these days, I’ll be sufficiently organised that I’ll be ahead of myself with my Christmas shopping!!! Badger looking magnificent as usual – I could see him starring in a film featuring his rugged ability to solve mysteries and keep the humans around him from harm. But maybe that’s because I read too many books… Hope you’re having a good week, Tammy.
