November 2025 Reading & SciFi Month Wrap-Up

Even though I didn’t participate as much as usual, I’m glad to have joined in #scifimonth2025! Big thanks to this year’s hosts: imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More; Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, Lisa @ Dear Geek Place & Mayri @ bookforager. I only read one science fiction book this month, but it was a good one! (Outlaw Planet, linked below). I did manage to put some lists together and participate in three out of four Friday Fives:

26 Science Fiction Books to Read in 2026

Science Fiction A-Z

Favorite Science Fiction of 2025 So Far

Friday Fives – The Journey Not the Destination

Friday Fives – Strange New Worlds

Friday Fives – Interesting Ways To Travel

I didn’t post many reviews in November, but I did end the month with two five star reads (both contenders for my top five books of the year!), so in that respect it was a good month. My out of town trip took away some time I might have spend writing reviews, but that’s OK because those will carry over into next month. Overall, my ratings were all over the place, but sometimes that’s the way it goes! Here are the books I reviewed in November, and the titles are linked to my reviews:

The Place Where They Buried Your Heart by Christina Henry

Outlaw Planet by M.R. Carey

Witches of Dubious Origins by Jenn McKinlay

The Sound of the Dark by Daniel Church

The Devouring Light by Kat Ellis

You Watched in Silence by H. Lee Justine

What was your favorite book of November?

  1. I’m still catching up on reading reviews! I need to start figuring out what books and other things I want to list in my Top 10 posts I always do this month. Although with the way things are going right now, I may not get them all done. Lots of good books you read last month at least!

  2. Nice, it’s always good to have options for your “top book” spots! I’m also happy to see you enjoyed Witches of Dubious Origin, since I’m curious about that one.

For me, the top book of November was Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. I really enjoyed reading that for the SciFiMonth group book.

  3. It’s a good month anytime you have 5 star reads! 🙂 My favorite book in November was probably The Door to December, a thriller/horror by Dean Koontz, originally written under the pen name Richard Paige.
