September 2025 Reading Wrap-Up

It was both a frustrating month (technically speaking) and a very good reading month, so I really can’t complain! I managed to post ten reviews, which is a lot for me, and I enjoyed all of the books, even the three star read. Here are the books I read and reviewed in September:

A Honeymoon of Grave Consequence by Stephanie Burgis

Play Nice by Rachel Harrison

How Bad Things Can Get by Darcy Coates

An Evil Premise by T. Marie Vandelly

Slashed Beauties by A. Rushby

House of Idyll by Delilah S. Dawson

Breathe In, Bleed Out by Brian McAuley

The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre by Philip Fracassi

Sunward by William Alexander

Fiend by Alma Katsu

What was your favorite book of the month?

Ooops it was the wrong post! Sorry Tammy! I was on your earlier post via my email as I had difficulties following and commenting on your blog these last weeks!

  2. Well, at least the reading was enough to hopefully make up for some of the technical stressors. My favorite read was probably “Quick Service,” a comedic novel from 1940 by P. G. Wodehouse. Can always use a few extra laughs throughout the month. đŸ™‚

Laughs are very important right now:-) I have quite a few humorous books planned for October, I’m looking forward to them.

  3. That’s a great amount of reading! I didn’t manage to get to A Honeymoon of Grave Consequence or Sunward this month, but they’re high on the TBR list for October.

Here’s hoping the technical side of things clears up soon.

I was surprised! Hopefully I can keep up the momentum this month, since it’s a very new release heavy month too.

  4. It definitely looks like a wonderful reading month, I’m sorry to hear about the technical troubles though. It looks like you read some fantastic books. I had a pretty poor reading month (two let downs in a row sent me into a slump and I only managed to fit one more book in when I finally convinced myself to return to reading). But it was a very busy month too to be fair, I had a wonderful birthday and saw two fantastic shows. So overall I can’t really complain.

  5. That is a lot of reviews and I see two we have in common. You know I have a love/hate relationship with Katsu but I am surprised to see it as the lowest rated book here. Still love the cover though!

For me, the Katsu book just wasn’t that interesting, to be honest. I didn’t like the mega corporation storyline at all.

I had a lot of technical blog problems and my host was no help at all (I’m migrating to a new host, hopefully soon!) Yes, hugs and second breakfast would be great!
