Buffy’s Corner 9/28/25 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

Can you believe October is only days away? I’m currently putting together my October TBR, and it’s way out of control, lol. It feels like fall here as well, with cool temps, clouds and wind, and I’m definitely getting in the mood for spooky season.

Apologies to anyone having issues with my blog. It’s been a frustrating month or so. I’m supposed to be migrating to my new host at the end of the month, and I’m just waiting to hear from Ashley about the timing. Things will get better soon, I hope! I hope everyone has a good week:-)

Upcoming reads & reviews:

I’m reading two books at the moment: The Faerie Morgana, which is very good but very slow, and The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre, which is sooo good! I hope to post my review of Autumn Springs tomorrow and The Faerie Morgana later in the week. After that, I’m diving into two October books, Cinder House and How to Fake a Haunting.

Other posts this week:

Oof, I have so many posts I need to get up this week, since it’s the transition between months. Tuesday I’ll post my September wrap-up, as well as participate in Top Ten Tuesday’s “Fall” theme; Wednesday is Future Fiction, so stop by to see some fun cover reveals; and I think I’ll share my October reading plans on Thursday, so I don’t double up twice this week.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

Over-Booked – September Book Haul

House of Idyll by Delilah S. Dawson – Review 4/5 stars

Future Fiction #350

Slashed Beauties by A. Rushby – Review 4/5 stars

Fiend by Alma Katsu – Review 3/5 stars

  1. That zebra bird pic is beautiful! All your books look so good, especially How to Fake a Haunting. Enjoy your week! I may participate in TTT this week, I love Fall anything.

  2. I hope the transition for the blog will go smoothly!! And I am really curious about Fracassi book (that is already on my TBR thanks to you) and Cinder House!!
    Also, the pic is beautiful!!

  3. Yes – although our weather is relatively mild, there’s no doubt Autumn is here, what with the ever-shorter days and difference in light quality. Not to mention allll the berries. You have my sympathy with your issues regarding your blog – after the nightmare week I’ve had with all things technical, I am very aware how much that can mess with your peace of mind! Have a great week, Tammy.

  4. We’re still having summer-like weather here unfortunately. Lots of good looking books! Sounds like you decided to go with Nose Graze for your blog. I have to say I’m so glad I went with her, even if it’s money I maybe shouldn’t spend, as much as I love blogging, it’s worth it to know my blog will work and she will help when I have issues. I hope it works out for you as well. Have a good week!

  5. I’m sorry you’ve had blog issues. I couldn’t do it without Ashley so I am confidant it will work out well for you. It just can’t be October coming up already! At least I’ve finished my September schedule of review books but there are still several Sept 30 releases scheduled for the beginning of October.

Wishing you happy reading for the week ahead! And I love that picture your husband took of the oxpecker on the zebra. Such a good shot!

  7. Keeping my fingers crossed and doing the magic dance to help make your blog migration a smooth one; and that way if it isn’t you can just blame me and poor dancing skills. 🙂 Beautiful photo by Moses. I’d love to see some videos of the bird to see if there’s a reason it got its name.
