Buffy’s Corner 9-21-25 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

The hubby just got back from South Africa and had a blast! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite photos from the trip (at least the ones I’ve seen so far).  Life is pretty status quo, nothing of note to report. The weather here is gorgeous, in the mid-70s, and I’m enjoying it before winter sneaks in.

I hope everyone has a great week and reads some good books!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

This week I’ll be reviewing Fiend (it was fine but not my favorite Alma Katsu book) and Slashed Beauties (a fascinating historical story but it’s extremely slow going). I’ve also just started House of Idyll which I’m loving, and hopefully next I’ll dive into The Faerie Morgana.

Other posts this week:

Another light week as I continue to have trouble accessing my dashboard (don’t worry, hopefully the end is in sight!), so look for Future Fiction on Wednesday for sure.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

Sunward by William Alexander – Review 4/5 stars

Future Fiction #349

Play Nice by Rachel Harrison – Review 4.5/5 stars

Buffy’s Corner 9/14/25

Vultures versus jackal in South Africa.
Vultures vs. Jackal, Zimanga Private Reserve – South Africa

Hope to see you around the blogosphere:-D

  1. Wow, that picture is awesome! I agree that it is nice to have the status quo weeks, I miss those, where things were just the same, no huge ups or downs. I need more of those! Hopefully the blog situation is getting figured out. When I click the link in my emails and it pops up in Safari the post is messed up, but then I copy and paste the link in FireFox and it works! Crazy. Here’s to a good week!

That picture is amazing Tammy! Sorry to have been MIA but I was first drowning in work and then now I am traveling and visiting Paris! Also I tried to comment from your blog but I got a message « too many requests »?

  3. No major things is good news as far as I’m concerned. Winter? I’m hoping to enjoy a long fall lasting until at least December here. Fall and spring are the best here and luckily quite long. Winter and summer only get 2 months each usually and they are not as extreme as Minnesota.

  4. Wow! That’s a fascinating photo Moses created. I didn’t notice the jackal right away but loved it when it suddenly popped out, framed, or cornered, nicely by some of the vultures. I hope you keep getting some great weather. These transitions between seasons are the best.
