Buffy’s Corner 9/14/25 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.

It was cold this week! I don’t think I’m ready for winter yet, but the temps were down in the 40s at night and upper 60s during the day. The hubby is in South Africa for two weeks, so I’m enjoying the peace and quiet, eating the foods I like, and bonding with Badger. Hopefully I’ll have some cool animal photos to share when he gets back. Meanwhile, below is a smiling Badger:-) Have a good week, everyone!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

This week I read Play Nice and I’m currently finishing up Sunward. Both will be reviewed this week. I can’t believe we’re halfway through the month! And I have so many September releases I want to read, sigh. Up next, I’m picking up Fiend and Slashed Beauties.

Other posts this week:

Once again, I’m struggling with the blog, so I’m keeping posts to a minimum for now. As always, look for Future Fiction on Wednesday! And that’s probably it this week, other than reviews.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

Breathe In, Bleed Out by Brian McAuley – Review 4/5 stars

Future Fiction #348

A Honeymoon of Grave Consequence by Stephanie Burgis – Review 5/5 stars

I’m ready for my close up!

Hope to see you around the blogosphere:-D

  1. I love the sidelong look Badger is giving us. Brrr – those nighttime temps are very unfriendly! It’s cooled down here rapidly, too – though not so brutally. Sorry you are still enduring blog issues and hope you manage to fix it soon. Have a good week, Tammy:).

  2. I’m ready for the cold here1. We were back up to the 90s. I miss alone time. I don’t have as much these days with helping my mom out. But I can’t pass up time with her. Badger is adorable! I haven’t read Alma Katsu, but I think she’s coming to do an author visit here with a local indie bookstore. Hope you have a nice week!

I’ve been reading Alma Katsu since she first started publishing and no one knew who she was, so I love how popular she’s become.

  3. Haha, the Badger pic is so funny (and sweet).

Those temps are crazy cold! It’s only mid-September, after all. You live in a place of extremes.

I hope the blog issues can be solved (or the new hosting you mentioned will be good for you).

We do seem to have extremes up here! My target for switching hosts is the end of the month, so I have a few more weeks of pain, lol. Hopefully it will go smoothly!

  4. I’m not ready for winter either, though I do love that it’s finally getting cool enough at night for me to pull up a blanket. All summer long I have to kick off my sheets in order to sleep. ;D

  5. Enjoy your down time. Man, Badger looks like he has a HUGE secret in that pic. So handsome. The number of releases in September I am interested in is HUGE! There is no way I can ever make a dent. It was cooler here last week too but this week we are back in the high 80s again.

  6. Wow, that is pretty cold! I am excited about every single one of the books you’re reading this week and I can’t wait to hear about them! I’m so behind on everything, so I’m going to just experience these books through your reviews, lol. I need to catch up on some of your previous posts because I’ve been wanting to read all those books. Hope you have a great week, and Badger looks so handsome–those eyes! 🙂

  7. Hmm, might the blog problems also be related to why sometimes I can’t access your blog or that it looks all weirdly formatted on mobile sometimes? I am glad I am able to access it to comment today though!
