Summer of Horror Cover Love – Horror Books With Green Covers

Today I’m showcasing green horror covers, and this was a tough one! Apparently green isn’t a common color, and I’ve only read five of these. But I love all the different shades!

At the Bottom of the Garden by Camilla Bruce

Out of the Drowning Deep by A.C. Wise

Ghost Mother by Kelly Dwyer

Episode Thirteen by Craig DiLouie

Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton

The Cold House by A.G. Slatter

Herculine by Grace Byron

Futility by Nuzo Onoh

The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

The Caretaker by Marcus Kliewer

Marrow by Samantha Browning Shea

And in case you missed the other horror colors, I’ll keep a running list here:

Horror Books With Yellow Covers

Horror Books With Pink Covers

Horror Books With Red Covers

Horror Books With White Covers

Can you think of any other green horror books?

  1. I’ve only read The Bewitching although a few of the others are on my TBR. I was originally very intrigued by At The Bottom Of The Garden but the reviews I’ve read definitely convinced me to try something else by the author first. Also the cover for Futility is especially ghoulish.

  2. I think I like the cover for Out of the Drowning Deep best, it’s so strange.
But, I can’t stop looking at the Futility cover, it’s a bit gruesome 😀

I really enjoyed Episode Thirteen and am looking forward to The Bewitching. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I love seeing all these covers together! The only other greens I can think of are The House at the Bottom of the Lake by Josh Malerman (greenish) and The Green Mile by Stephen King (although I don’t know if that truly counts as horror, since I haven’t read it yet!)

  5. The premise for Out of the Drowning Deep sounds out of this world haha Added it to my tbr right away. I have Hollow Kingdom and I should really pick it up! & If Herculine is anything like Camp Damascus I might like it but Im gonna wait to see what people think of it first! 🙂

These are great choices! The Bewitching is the one that I have heard the most about!

  7. Quite a range here. My favorite cover of the group is Episode Thirteen, probably because of that nice contrast between the cooler green and the warmth of the yellow/orange.

  8. The only other cover I could think you could have added was Greenteeth – but I think that would be classified as cosy horror… As for the covers you’ve provided – and don’t they look PRETTY when all together – my favourite is Out of the Drowning Deep. I love the balance of colours and the creepy vibe.
