For my first Wyrd & Wonder list this year, I’ve found ten upcoming fantasy releases that I haven’t talked about yet on the blog (except the first one!). There’s no real theme or subgenre here, just ten amazing sounding books that I’ve recently added to my TBR.  Titles are linked to Goodreads if you’d like to add them to your TBR too. I’m also listing them in order of release date (subject to change).

Tea & Alchemy by Sharon Lynn Fisher. October 7th, 47North.A tea leaf reader in nineteenth-century England falls in love—and in danger—with a reclusive alchemist in an enthralling historical fantasy by the author of Salt & Broom and Grimm Curiosities.”

Brigands & Breadknives (Legends & Lattes #2) by Travis Baldree. November 11, Tor Books.Return to the cozy fantasy world of the #1 New York Times bestselling Legends & Lattes series with a new adventure featuring fan-favorite, foul-mouthed bookseller, Fern.”

  1. I added Tea & Alchemy to my list after seeing your post about it the other day.
The Book of Autumn, The Bookshop Below and Brigands &Breadknives are all books I think I’d like to read too.
    Great list 😀

Wow, I added six books to my TBR from this post alone. I’ve been seeing The Book of Autumn around and I had no idea Anne Bishop is starting a new series. Perhaps I should finish her other one first. I really love the sounds of An Unlikely Coven too!

  3. Having loved the authors debut I was already incredibly excited for The Bookshop Below but it’s my first time seeing the cover and it’s stunning I’m especially intrigued by the fairytale inspired ones and Tea & Alchemy but I’ve just added a few others to my TBR too. You’re always aware of so many incredible sounding books!!

  4. Well there’s far too many here that I want to get my hands on! I already have an arc for Spellbound – but there’s the Anne Bishop and the Travis Baldree (of course!!). And I love the sound of We Who Have No Gods… *sigh* no wonder my Kindle is groaning with so many books!! Thank you for sharing, though:).

  5. Brigands & Breadknives because I’ve really enjoyed that series so far. The Bookshop Below because I like magic bookshops. The Book of Autumn because I love the red mesas of New Mexico and it’s been far too long since I’ve been there. And The Killing Spell because I’ve never read a fantasy novel with an Hawaiian character. 🙂

I thought the same thing about The Killing Spell, I feel like it might be a “Must read.”

  6. A new Anne Bishop’s book? Sign me in, now!! I am also excited for the new Baldree’s book and Tea & Alchemy sounds pretty good too!!
These three are the ones I am the most excited about, but all the books you shared sound pretty good!

  7. The cover of SPELLBOUND caught my eye, while the premise of WE WHO HAVE NO GODS had me taking a closer look at it on Goodreads. Not sure about the modern setting but I’ll be keeping an eye out for any early thoughts on that one.

  8. How dare you make me add like ten new books to my tbr with one post? As soon as I saw this I took out my phone and got to work !
