I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog,
I did a quick search of my image library, and I seem to have a LOT of books with the word “house” in the title. So this was an easy post to put together! I haven’t read all these, but I’ve talked about them on the blog at some point. I grabbed all the ones I could find, but I’m sure I missed some.

There are a ton of them!!
I have read two, and I have two on my TBR. I really enjoyed A House With Good Bones, while The Ninth House wasn’t really a good fit for me.
But I love the cover of Lavender House! *_*
I need to read Lavender House, I’ve heard so many good things about it.
That is quite a few. So far I’ve only read The September House, but there are several others there in my TBR.
Apparently I enjoy books with “house” in the title, lol.
I like books about houses!
Me too, there are so many possibilities:-)
House is such a good word choice. There are so many of them!!
There really are! I think I could have kept going, lol.
I’m not surprised you found so many! I feel like I’ve heard of at least half my spooky house books from you!
Ha ha. I’m sure I’ll have even more to share at some point:-)
The only one I have read is Ninth House and loved it.
Anne – Books of My Heart
Also I read one The Last House on the Street by Diane Chamberlain which was good.
I still need to read it. I can’t believe I haven’t yet!
Great word choice! I am hoping to read Ninth House this year! I also have several others on my tbr. 🙂
I still haven’t read Ninth House but really want to:-)
You really were inspired today Tammy!
Ha ha I went a little overboard:-)
I wasn’t sure I would be able to find many books with the word house in their title, so I did a quick search, and have read more than I would have thought. Great word choice!
Thanks Cindy!
Haven’t read any. I did wonder if they’d all be about haunted houses until I saw the full list.
There are so many “house” books that aren’t about haunted houses, surprisingly:-)
You’ve got a lot of great one on your list. The September House is one of my favorites and I’m happy to see it on your list. 🙂
Yes! It deserves more readers, it’s such an amazing story.
I’m quite surprised there wasn’t a Klune book in this list (jk) It is interesting to see how many titles there are with house in it.
I haven’t read The House in the Cerulean Sea so I don’t think I’ve ever used an image of it on my blog, which is why I didn’t think of it. But it would be perfect on this list:-)
Great selection. I think Ive read eight of these.
Lynn 😀
That’s quite a few!
Wow! That is a lot of house books! I’ve read 5 of them and have several others on the ever-growing TBR. Nice list.
Thanks Barb, I was surprised I had so many.
I absolutely love your list! I read the T. Kingfisher book, Ninth House, and The September House and loved all of them. The other house books look really interesting too! Adding a whole bunch to my TBR now!

Thanks Haze! The September House is still one of my faves:-)
I have only read the one by Ward. I checked, seems like I read at least 16 with house in the title.
I went with dance: https://wordsandpeace.com/2025/04/29/top-ten-books-with-the-word-dance-in-the-title/
House is a popular title word:-)
Right away, I thought of all the “House of…” titles!
