Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! I love this week's theme, because I seem to have found some new-to-me authors in recent months, and I can't wait to read more of their books. I am only listing authors that already have more than one book…
I’m so surprised that Josh Malerman was new to you last year! Based on how much horror you read, I would have thought you’d read all his books already! Great list! I think Katherine Arden is so talented — I loved Warm Hands of Ghosts, and definitely recommend The Bear & the Nightingale.
You already mentioned us having Katherine Arden in common but we have C.J. Cooke as well, she’s one of the authors I’ve got saved for part two of my post. I also read Darling Rose Gold in the past and loved it so majorly need to pick up The Hitchcock Hotel soon. It’s funny how we’ve had reverse experiences with two of these authors. I hope you enjoy all the books on your TBR whenever you get to them.
Nice! That’s quite a few new authors. I’ve had The Bear and the Nightingale high up on my TBR for far too long and have yet to get to it. I keep picking other ones over it. But one day I’m determined to try it.
Great list and it’s always fun to find new authors. I’ve read The Nesting by C.J. Cooke and have several others on my TBR. I always mix the author up with C.J. Tudor though.
Several of these are on my TBR but I have yet to read any of these authors, other than CJ Cooke (I read her Lighthouse Witches and really enjoyed it). I have heard only great things about Katherine Arden’s books. It looks like you found some great authors to try in 2024!
I love Katherine Arden so much I even read the first of her middle grade series and it was really good too! She’s becoming one of my favorite authors for sure
Hope you enjoy The Bear and the Nightingale if you do find time to read it. I’d love to reread that whole trilogy at some point, I remember it being really good.
I read my first C. J. Cooke last year too, The Lighthouse Witches
An interesting selection of authors! The only one I’ve read is Katherine Arden. That said – there were a tranche of new-to-me authors I discovered last year that I’d like to share:)).

I’m really looking forward to reading Incidents Around the House.
Great list, Tammy! I want to try several of these authors.

I’ve been aware of Katherine Arden for a while now but still have yet to read anything of here. Good on you for bopping over to her books!
I’ve read BIRD BOX and DARLING ROSE GOLD, but that’s it from your list. I’m glad you found some new authors to love in 2024!
Happy TTT!
