I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog
Today on Top Ten Tuesday, the theme is “___ On the Cover,” and I’ve wanted to feature books with creepy eyes for months, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity. This is a handful of books I’ve read or on my TBR, or simply covers I’ve seen on social media that fit the theme. Most of these are disembodied eyes, which makes them even creepier, don’t you think?
Eyes on covers are really creepy, indeed! Somehow I never thought about it until seeing so many together. I love that you also added Lucy Undying. 😀

For some reason Lucy Undying was one of the first ones I thought of!
These are creepy! I think Out of the Drowining Deep is the creepiest.

I think multiple eyes make it worse, lol.
The is a great topic you chose and great covers! Eyes are creepy. I’ve had my eye, pun intended, on The Eyes are the Best Part but I’m squeamish lol.

I’m squeamish too, and yep, that cover is probably the worst of the bunch, lol.
You are amazing! I think only YOU can come up with this, lol. Creepy for sure.

LOL I guess my brain is a little twisted at times…
Great job with this!

Thanks Anne!
These are terrifying!! Individually, these covers are already disturbing, but all together like this, it’s absolutely a nightmare!! 🙂 Great job.
That was my plan, to shock everyone, lol.
Ugh! Omg! Lol! Draw You In creeps me out. I don’t like things looking like they’re going into an eye. For a disturbing one, there’s Patrick White’s The Vivisector.
I agree, I almost missed the eye on Draw You In, and now it’s even more cringey!
Oh, this is a fun theme. I haven’t seen anything like it yet this week. It reminds me of that 1800s poem about the guy who wanted to be an invisible eye floating through the woods. I think he might have been a transcendentalist?
Now you’ve got me curious about the poem!
I like the cover of Navola.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I love that one too:-)
Nice! Of those the two creepiest to me are Maeve Fly and The Eyes Are The Best Part. With Maeve Fly I picture the eye being so cold the tongue sticks to it and you can’t get it off. 🙂
Ha ha the Maeve Fly cover definitely evokes all kind of thoughts, but I like your take on it:-)
I love these! I never thought about how many book covers there are with creepy eyes, but apparently there are a lot! I’m burnt out from reading so much horror in October, but some of these look really good and I want to read them!!

I noticed the trend and had to make a post about it:-)
Creepy eyes kind of make me worry as I really don’t want to read eye based gore. Draw You In actually made me flinch. Kind of like the scene in Practical Magic involving eyes and needles. I also somehow didn’t realise those were eyes on Faeries Never Lie. I guess I never looked at a larger version of the cover lol
They definitely make me cringe too. But there are so many I had to gather them together:-)
These are all very creepy covers! I think you nailed your topic this week.

Thanks Pam!
Those are some very creepy-looking eyes. They are definitely covers that make you look twice. ;D

Some of them make me cringe, lol.
They’re so creepy! and, no, I think you’ve probably got most of them.
Lynn 😀
Now I will always be looking for more of these covers, lol.
These are indeed very creepy
They are, and I love them together:-)
Oh, WOW, these are some seriously creepy eye covers! LOL. Great topic, especially with Halloween just recently passed.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Thanks Susan! It would have been a better idea for October, but oh well:-)
This is the creepiest and most unique take on the prompt I’ve seen till now! I haven’t read any of these as I am a huge wimp, however, the Lucy Undying cover looks really cool 🙂
If you’d like to visit, here’s my TTT: https://thebooklorefairy.blogspot.com/2024/11/top-ten-tuesday-books-with-swords-on-the-cover.html
Thanks Marwah! Once I saw a few creepy eye covers I had to go looking for more:-)
I can’t wait to read Lucy Undying and Faeries Never Die.
I really need to catch up with Lucy Undying…
How many creepy covers!!
I’m sure there are more I don’t know about, but yep, this is a creepy trend!
well, after a glance, I got the creepy crawlies AND the heebie-jeebies. Well done with your selection! A lot of these I’ve never heard of before. Nether Station is particularly terrifying for some reason. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier
I put them in order of disturbing to me, lol.
I didn’t realize there were so many creepy eyeball books!

I’ve been noticing them, that’s why I wanted to do this post:-)
Oh wow, when I saw the title of this post, never could I have imagined how many actual covers I own that have creepy eyeballs on them, lol.
