Books With Creepy Eyes on the Cover

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog

Today on Top Ten Tuesday, the theme is “___ On the Cover,” and I’ve wanted to feature books with creepy eyes for months, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity. This is a handful of books I’ve read or on my TBR, or simply covers I’ve seen on social media that fit the theme. Most of these are disembodied eyes, which makes them even creepier, don’t you think?

Do you know of a “creepy eye” cover that I missed?

  1. Ugh! Omg! Lol! Draw You In creeps me out. I don’t like things looking like they’re going into an eye. For a disturbing one, there’s Patrick White’s The Vivisector.

  2. Oh, this is a fun theme. I haven’t seen anything like it yet this week. It reminds me of that 1800s poem about the guy who wanted to be an invisible eye floating through the woods. I think he might have been a transcendentalist?

  3. Nice! Of those the two creepiest to me are Maeve Fly and The Eyes Are The Best Part. With Maeve Fly I picture the eye being so cold the tongue sticks to it and you can’t get it off. 🙂

  4. Creepy eyes kind of make me worry as I really don’t want to read eye based gore. Draw You In actually made me flinch. Kind of like the scene in Practical Magic involving eyes and needles. I also somehow didn’t realise those were eyes on Faeries Never Lie. I guess I never looked at a larger version of the cover lol

  5. well, after a glance, I got the creepy crawlies AND the heebie-jeebies. Well done with your selection! A lot of these I’ve never heard of before. Nether Station is particularly terrifying for some reason. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier
