October 2024 Reading Wrap-Up

October wasn’t a bad reading month, but I didn’t feel like I had much focus for reading and blogging, so I didn’t read everything I wanted to. Still, this was a very good month overall. I enjoyed everything I read, and that’s a good thing:-) My favorite book of the month is definitely American Rapture! Here are the books I read and reviewed in October (click on the titles to read my reviews):

American Rapture by C.J. Leede

The Hitchcock Hotel by Stephanie Wrobel

Rest Stop by Nat Cassidy

The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch

Run by Blake Crouch

Odd Spirits by S.T. Gibson

The Black Hunger by Nicholas Pullen

Tiny Threads by Lilliam Rivera

What was your favorite book of October?

  1. Definitely looks like a decent month, especially given you felt a lack of focus. I hope November is better. My favorite of the month was probably Mirrored Heavens by Rebecca Roanhorse.

  2. I think I read 8 things total but have two carrying over I can knock out this weekend and get a jump on November. I always plan on reading so much in October and historically, it’s usually one of my lower months. I did have a work trip that sucked 2 days up and a good day of prep and a good day of recovery. Now that Halloween has passed, I am sure time will fly with the other holidays smashing in before we know it. Congrats on all your reading!

I just had too many review books for October and it ruined my focus. This month is much better so far!

  3. It looks like you read some great books during October, some of which I also really want to read sometime. I hope you feel like your focus is better during November, it’s so frustrating when it feels off. My favourite read of the month was also my new favourite of the year, North Is The Night. I really can’t wait to be able to share my full thoughts on it.

I’m looking forward to your review of North is the Night! And so far I’m just enjoying my reading a lot. I don’t have any expectations and I think that’s helping.
