Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but since last Sunday we’ve had TWO more snow storms. Yep, I’m over it! I know a lot of people out there are still dealing with snow, and you have my sympathy. In addition to the snow, work has been stressful, so I’m very glad it’s the weekend. I hope everyone has a good week and reads some excellent books:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
This week look for reviews of The Redemption of Morgan Bright and Calypso, both excellent in very different ways. And after that I need a change of pace, something more fast paced (Ghost Station) and lighter (A Letter to the Luminous Deep), so those will most likely be my next reads.
Other posts this week:
On Tuesday, I’m sharing my Most Anticipated Books for the Second Quarter of 2024, and you can also see how I did last quarter; and Wednesday is Future Fiction and I have some awesome covers to share.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Gathering by C.J. Tudor – Review 4/5 stars
April Storms – Ten Horror Books With Snowy Settings
What’s On My Plate – April 2024
Nice post
Thanks:-)
The picture is so beautiful! And I am curious to know what you think of The Redemption of Morgan Bright!!
And I hope the next week will be less stressful!!
Thanks Susy!
I can’t wait to hear what you’ll think of A Letter to the Luminous Deep so I hope it’ll be a good read for you as it sounds like a really great read!
It really does sound good, I hope I can start it later this week:-)
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about Ghost Station: the book’s premise makes me hopeful as it promises to be a very engaging read 🙂

So far I’m really enjoying it:-)
We had a random snowstorm on Thursday and it was super impressive, especially when there was pretty much none the day before!

I’m glad I’m not the only one with strange weather!
Oh good grief!! MORE snow – that’s just ridiculous. It stretches your winter out to unacceptable levels and I’m so very sorry – it must be very trying emotionally. I’ve really battled with the gloomy wet weather we’ve had this year. Thank goodness, we’ve had a bit of sun during the last week, though the wind is very chilly and I’m yearning for a bit more warmth. I hope you’re in for a thaw this coming week, Tammy!
Me too, I hope we both have consistently lovely weather soon:-)
I cannot believe all the snow you guys are getting, and it’s April! Crazy! Hope you all get a break soon and start getting a real spring. The picture if beautiful as always. Hope your week is good!

Thanks Lisa, I hope your week is good as well:-)
Do you typically get a lot of snow this time of year or is it a bit unexpected? I’d probably be tired of it, too, after three big ones.
I don’t remember getting this much snow in April last year, but the mountains have their own weather system, lol, so I guess I should just expect it.
Yeah I’m done with cold weather. And cold is different to me now than it was in Minnesota. In NC, we don’t even have cold weather by MN standards. That north wind is bitter though. This week should see some of that middle ground weather which is my favorite. At least Badger enjoys it. Lulu would refuse to go outside. Her legs are too short for big snow. I hope you get some springtime soon!
My other two dogs would have hated the snow! They were dachshunds and so very small and short.
Hope you’re having a good weekend! Yes there seem t obe a lot of areas still getting snow!
I really need to get Ghost Station

Thanks Greg! Ghost Station is great!
I hope you have had a good weekend after such a trying week! Hopefully spring weather will stick one of these days. I hope you enjoy both A Letter to the Luminous Deep and Ghost Station. I hope to read those at some point. I hope you have a great week, Tammy!

I am SO ready for a “real” spring, lol.
Yup, had more snow last week as well, but at least it didn’t last too long, and it is getting warmer. I’m over it for the both of us! I hope you enjoy your books this week!

Ours melted pretty quickly too, but still, I’m over it! thanks Haze:-)
Hope this week is less stressful for you and that all that snow clears. It’s okay briefly but gets old pretty quickly when you can’t get around easily and that’s with no where near as much as you’ve been having. Hopefully you’ve got some good books coming up. I love the sound of A Letter to the Luminous Deep. Hope you enjoy 😀

Thanks! I’m very excited to start A Letter From the Luminous Deep. I’ve been reading some heavy books lately and need a change of pace:-)
Ghost Station is definitely nice for a pick me up, I liked it better than her previous book. I am probably going to read Luminous Deep soon too.
I don’t know about you but I find I don’t appreciate snow quite as much as a driving adult as I did as a school-bus-riding kid. 🙂
Hope you had a less stressful week after this post.
Lynn 😀
