It’s almost the end of Sci-Fi Month 2023 and time to highlight my favorite science fiction books of the year so far (there is still one more month, and you never know what I might read!) I have not read as much SF this year as I usually do—and there are a bunch of 2023 releases I just haven’t had time to read yet—but I have read some excellent books. I’ve listed my favorites in alphabetical order below, and you can click on the titles if you’d like to read my reviews.

I’m also linking up with Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!

Calamity by Constance Fay

Deadly Memory by David Walton

The Deep Sky by Yume Kitasei

Descendant Machine by Gareth L. Powell

The Endless Vessel by Charles Soule

The Ferryman by Justin Cronin

Fractal Noise by Christopher Paolini

Hel’s Eight by Stark Holborn

I Am Ai by Ai Jiang

Infinity Gate by M.R. Carey

These Burning Stars by Bethany Jacobs

World Running Down by Al Hess

  1. I’ve not read any of these yet but this year I did pick up several books by Justin Cronin. I keep hearing great things about his books.

  2. That’s a cool list… I’ve only read two of these and while I liked The Deep Sky quite a bit, I was completely blown away by These Burning Stars. I guess I just haven’t read enough sci-fi this year to have a favorites list.
