June 2023 Reading Wrap-Up

June was a pretty good reading month, although I didn’t have any runaway five-star hits this month. If I had to pick a favorite book of June, it would probably be The Seven Year Slip, and I can’t believe I’m saying that since it’s not one of my usual genres! I’m also pleased that I was able to review eight books, because Gods of the Wyrdwood is 640 pages, so technically I read nine books, lol. Here are the books I read and reviewed in June, and my reviews are linked below if you missed them:

The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

Maeve Fly by C.J. Leede

Gods of the Wyrdwood by R.J. Barker

Mothtown by Caroline Hardaker

Night’s Edge by Liz Kerin

Fractal Noise by Christopher Paolini

Graveyard of Lost Children by Katrina Monroe

Open Throat by Henry Hoke

Top five most viewed reviews in June (based on page views):

I haven’t included this feature for months, but I thought I’d bring it back. Ever since I posted my review of Fourth Wing, it’s been far and away one of my most viewed posts ever. I expect it to hold the number one spot for quite a while. I don’t normally show stats, but I have to share the ridiculous views Fourth Wing had this month, compared to my other reviews! LOL

1. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (2023) 7,721 views

2. The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean (2022) 178 views

3. A Winter’s Promise by Christelle Dabos (2018) 178 views

4. The Ferryman by Justin Cronin (2023) 154 views

5. What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall (2023) 145 views

  1. You may not have had any 5 star reads but what you read was still weighted to the higher side, which is always nice. And I can’t stop smiling that you got so much enjoyment out of something outside your typically genres with The Seven Year Slip. I love seeing that! 🙂 My favorite read of the month was an older book, Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

I have an older review of a book I didn’t like at all that always gets lots of views, so funny.

I was so surprised about The Seven Year Slip! Maybe I need to try more contemporary romances…

It’s hard to read everything, that’s for sure. Or should I say “impossible.” 🙂

Um, wow. That’s a huge amount of views for ONE month, but compared to everything else…
