Buffy’s Corner 4/16/23 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D

Thanks to everyone who helped me with my Kindle issue last week. I was having trouble reading an epub that an author sent to me, but several of you suggested emailing the file to my Kindle email. It worked great!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

This week, I’ll be posting reviews of Linghun (such a strange, sad little story) and This Delicious Death (very YA but it had some nice horror moments). I’m currently reading The Fairy Bargains of Prospect Hill, and next up will probably be The Thick and the Lean.

Other posts this week:

Tuesday is my 2023 Reading Challenges check-in. Stop by and see how I’m doing! And Wednesday I have three new upcoming SFF books to share on Future Fiction.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

I think the younger crowd will love it. For me it was a little too young, but hey that’s the risk you take as an adult reading YA I guess:-)

  1. I love, love photos of trees. You are reading too much horror for me, but I’m glad you enjoy it. I prefer the scifi and fantasy books. Emailing it to the Kindle is the only way I do it. I think there used to be a way with a USB but that was not as easy. Are you getting any peeks of spring weather?

I only used a USB to transfer files until last weekend! And yes, we are seeing lots of flowers and buds, it’s such a wonderful change:-)

  2. Looking forward to your thoughts on This Delicious Death (love the cover) and Fairy Bargains… as I’ve seen some fairly mixed reviews on that one and can’t decide whether to give it a try or not.
Love this weeks photo, it’s so striking 😀

  3. I *still* haven’t started The Fairy Bargains of Prospect Hill yet. Eek. I opted for a mood read instead, The Co-Op by Tarah DeWitt, which is a contemporary romance. Hope you’re enjoying Fairy Bargains so far!

  4. I read This Delicious Death last week too so I’m anxious to read your review. I almost DNF’ed it because I was having some issues with it but it was such an interesting premise. In the end, I’m glad I stuck with it. Hope you have a wonderful week and that spring is on its way out there.

  5. Very glad to hear you got your Kindle issue worked out. And Moses created a beautiful rendition of the burnt tree. As destructive as fire is, it’s also a process of renewal.
