July 2022 Reading Wrap-Up

Overall, July was a very good reading month. I didn’t get to everything I wanted to read (when do I ever do that?), but nothing was below four stars. I reviewed eight books, and you can read my reviews if you missed them by clicking on the titles:

Black Mouth by Ronald Malfi

August Kitko and the Mechas From Space by Alex White

What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher

Just Like Home by Sarah Gailey

The Daughter of Doctor Moreau by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Pteranodon Canyon by Tim Meyer

Upgrade by Blake Crouch

A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers

What was your favorite book of July?

  1. You did have a good reading month! My fave July read was Ravenscroft Hall by R. Saint Claire. It’s a contemporary Gothic horror story. Very dramatic and fun!

  2. I loved Black Mouth – absolutely loved it.
Happy to see positive ratings for all your other reads too – looks like you had a great reading month.

I love her books. The Hollow Places and The Twisted Ones are more horror, but very good.

  3. Gotta love months when the lowest rating is a 4. My favorite books in July were the first collected volume of the comic book, Saga, and The Velveteen Rabbit, of all things. 🙂 I was also glad to read one of the books you did during the month (Just Like Home) as that doesn’t happen all that often.

  4. Your July was pretty amazing!! I have read only The Daughter of Doctor Moreau and I quite enjoyed it, so I am glad to see that you enjoyed it too! Let’s hope August will be at least as good!!

Eight books and not one below four stars is a good month. My favorite book for July is The Vision by Dean Koontz.
Have a great August reading month.
