Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
We’ve got a long weekend coming up here in the U.S., and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m taking Friday off work so I’ll have an extra day as well. Otherwise, work is really busy, which is a good thing because if my business is busy, that means folks are getting back to work (I work for an office design/furniture dealership.) Thank you for stopping by, and I hope your week is a good one:-)
Upcoming reviews:
Well, it has not been a very productive reading week for me. You may remember that I was trying to get my review of The Shadow of the Gods up last week, but that just didn’t happen. I’m really enjoying it, but it’s taking me much longer to read than I expected. I should be finished by the time this post goes up, though, and after that I’m changing gears and reading Day Zero.
Upcoming reads:
I will read Jade City this month if it kills me! Ha ha. And I’d love to squeeze in We Are Satellites as well. Then it’s on to June, can you believe it? Adrift comes out June 1st, so I’m looking ahead a bit and hoping to get a review up the week it’s released.
Other posts:
Tuesday will be my final “fun” Wyrd & Wonder post: A-Z Fantasy! On Wednesday I have three cover reveals to share on Future Fiction, and the Friday Face-Off is “hood.”
In case you missed:
Last week’s posts:
Over-Booked – A Book Haul Post
Hard Reboot by Django Wexler – Review 4/5 stars
The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He – Review 3/5 stars
Since I know you love the Donovan series just as much as I do, I can tell you – having finished the ARC for Adrift just yesterday – that it further raises the planet’s already high stakes. If you thought that the half-unseen monster from last book was creepy enough… well, think again 😉
And happy reading!!!!

I can hardly wait!
I’m looking forward to your review of Day Zero. Happy reading, Tammy!

Thanks Priscilla!
Glad things have picked up at your business for you! I am curious about Day Zero, so can’t wait to see your review.
Have a great week and happy reading,

Week in Review
Thanks Stormi, have a good week!
I’m really looking forward to your review of The Shadow of the Gods. I’ve enjoyed other books by John Gwynn and loved them.
I really enjoyed it, and I want to check out his other series now:-)
Robin really loved The Shadow of the Gods. I keep thinking about reading that Sarah Pinsker book but I am overbooked right now. I hope you have an amazing long weekend. It’s supposed to rain all weekend, next weekend, off and on here.

Thanks Anne, hope you have a nice weekend too, despite the rain:-)
Who doesn’t love a good long weekend! Hope you enjoyed yours! I’ve been hearing more and more about John Gwynne, so I’m excited to read your review of The Shadow of the Gods when it comes out! Happy reading!

John Gwynne is so good! I will convince you to read his books:-)
Can’t wait to hear about Day Zero. And here’s to a fantastic 4-day weekend! 🙂
Yes, I don’t take much time off work so I’m looking forward to it:-)
Yes, I loved the Gwynne book but it’s not something you can race through. And I’m looking forward to Day Zero too.
Lynn 😀
Day Zero is really good so far:-)
Can’t wait to read Adrift and We Are Satellites!
Me too, there are some good books coming up (aren’t there always;-))
Glad to hear your work is picking up since it’s a good signal that we’re starting to get back to normal. 🙂
It’s a nice feeling to ease back into normality. Almost like a dream!
I hope you love Jade City, Tammy! It’s one of my favorites.
As soon as I finish my current read, I’m diving in:-)
Glad things are picking up. I’m fully vaccinated now although I’m still being cautious. You know, at least COVID got me looking for a new job and I found one where I’m really making a difference and working from home about 80% of the time which the boys love. I am ready for some more normalcy though.
We’ve taken off masks at work, since we’re all vaccinated and there are only about eight of us. It’s really nice! And surprisingly I’m not worried about it.
