Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
How’s everyone doing? I wish I had interesting news to share, but the days are just bleeding together and all I’ve been doing is working, reading and sleeping, lol. I know you’re jealous;-) Let’s jump right into my blogging week:
Upcoming reviews:
This Tuesday I’m on the blog tour for The Second Bell by Gabriela Houston, so stop by to see my review. This was an interesting story with folkloric elements, and I enjoyed it. And later in the week, I’ll be posting my review for The Ladies of the Secret Circus. Constance Sayers really knows how to write stories with interesting structures and multiple timelines, and her latest does those things so well.
Upcoming reads:
Forget Me Not is rolling over from last week, since I just couldn’t get to it. And this week for sure I’m starting The Fall of Koli, I can’t wait! I’d love to throw in another book, so hopefully I can get to a novella, We Shall Sing a Song into the Deep. Koli is rather long so I’m not sure how much I’ll actually be able to read, but I’m definitely making it a priority.
The usual memes…
As usual, please stop by on Wednesday for my Future Fiction picks of the week, and this Friday’s Friday Face-Off is “middle grade.”
In case you missed…
Here are my posts from last week:
Over-Booked – A Book Haul Post
Excerpt & Giveaway: The Poet by Lisa Renee Jones **One paperback copy will be given away to a U.S. resident – simply leave a comment on this post to enter!
The Package by Sebastian Fitzek – Review 2/5 stars
Dead Space by Kali Wallace – Review 5/5 stars – AMAZING!!
Sometimes it’s the title that captures my attention, and that’s the case with We Shall Sing a Song Into the Deep.
I agree, Todd. It’s such an unusual title:-)
The third Koli book might be long-ish, but once you start you will feel the need to fly through it! 😉
Happy reading!

I just started it and I want to ditch work so I can read all day, lol.
I know all days tend to blend together…but hey, with the vaccine, there is hope!
I’m so glad, I can’t wait until it’s my turn for the vaccine:-)
Well having a sort of “normal” including all those things is rather great. I do think we have all learned a lot during COVID and hopefully it will make us stronger and better for the future.

I agree. And normal is definitely better than what’s been going on, right?
It’s hard to believe it is already March! And then to think about what was happening this time a year ago. Hopefully this March things get better. Have a great week!

I agree! Thanks Lisa, hope you have a good week as well:-)
The Fall of Koli and Dead Space sound sooo good! Love the pic too- nice! 🙂
Have an amazing week!
Thanks Greg!
I’ll probably be starting Dead Space next, and after your glowing review, I’m looking forward to it even more!
I’m curious to see what you think!
I am curious to read your next reviews, both of the book seem quite interesting!!
They were both so different:-)
I can’t wait to read your review for The Ladies of the Secret Circus. That’s a book I just can’t wait to read. Hope you have a great week!
I loved it Suzanne! Hope you have a nice week as well:-)
Yes. I think having an uneventful week is something of a win right now:)). And I love that stunning pic of the birds – thank you so much for posting it. I looked carefully at it for a long time, finding the beauty of the mobility a real comfort:))). As for The Fall of Koli – it’s very readable – I’m with Maddalena, in that I think you’ll find the pages just turn themselves! I hope the coming week stays suitably uneventful, though interesting… if that’s a thing!!
I love that photo too, it’s rather soothing!
I totally feel you about the days blending together, I don’t even know where the days are going anymore. I’m just not finishing up The Trials of Koli (I’m a bit behind, haha), but it’s already making me so much more excited for The Fall of Koli.
I just started the Fall of Koli and I already love being back in Koli’s head:-)
Looking forward to your review for The Ladies of the Secret Circus, that one looks so interesting!
Also, I really get it about the days blending, same! I can’t wait until I can get together with friends and family again. Have a great week, Tammy!
The Ladies of the Secret Circus was so good, very layered and unique:-)
I can’t wait for your thoughts on The Second Bell. That’s one I definitely want to read!
It was pretty good!
I look forward to reading your thoughts on The Ladies of the Secret Circus. I’m so excited about that one. I hope you have a great week, Tammy!
I loved it! Hope you have a great week too:-)
Yep, everything is becoming much of a muchness. I wonder if we’ll ever have any semblance of normality?
I love your husband’s picture here.
