Top Ten Tuesday – Favorite One Word Title Books

I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Check out upcoming Top Ten themes on Jana’s blog!

This week we’re focusing on one word titles, and it turns out I’ve read a lot of really good ones! I went through my Goodreads “Read” list and picked the last twelve 4, 4 1/2 or 5 star books I read, so this was pretty easy. These are listed in order from the most recent reads, take a look:

Anyone by Charles Soule | Infernal by Cheryl Low | Sabbath by Nick Mamatas | Ormeshadow by Priya Sharma | Ration by Cody T. Luff | Wanderers by Chuck Wendig | Recursion by Blake Crouch | Middlegame by Seanan McGuire | Titanshade by Dan Stout | Vengeful by V.E. Schwab | Westside by W.M. Akers | Pariah by W. Michael Gear

  1. I was actually surprised that I had as many one-word titles as I did. I actually tried to back some so I could show some different books. However, I did feature two I read within the last week. What a coincidence huh? I have Middlegame and really need to make time for it.

  2. Great list! I have Wanderers on mine too… and I guess I must have done this off the top of my head rather than actually looking at my bookshelves, because Recursion and Middlegame skipped my mind completely.

I loved both of them, maybe Vicious a little more. But I didn’t go back very far for this list so I never got to Vicious.

  3. Ooh Infernal is on my list to get. I might have seen it herer haha. and Recursion *nods vigorously*

I love all these cool one word titles I’m seeing this week!

  4. I haven’t read any Seanan McGuire but Middlegame’s cover is definitely convincing me that I should! And I want to read Vengeful so badly 😀
