Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers.
I’ve been waiting over a year for this cover to be revealed, and I spotted this as I was going through my Goodreads TBR, looking for this week’s WoW pick. However, I can’t find the cover anywhere other than GR, so I’m not even sure this is official or not. But I decided to feature it anyway since I’m so freaking excited about this book!
Tuck Durante is a shipraider, combing space for Earth artifacts from a war that ended 500 years ago. When his parents’ ship crashes in the dead zone and the crew goes missing, Tuck hires a ragtag rescue team.
Meanwhile, curator Lana Gray is fighting to keep the US PANAM John Muir—and the remnants of its crew—alive. Their space capsule housing Yosemite National Park was hijacked. The hijacking turned ninety-five percent of her crew into nightmarish creatures called mourners who flay, dismember, or decapitate with nothing more than sharp-pitched shrieks.
Now, despite their differences, Lana, Tuck, and their crews must work together to save the John Muir. In space, nobody can hear you scream…but on the John Muir, the screams are the last thing you’ll hear.
Pitch Dark by Courtney Alameda releases in June 2017 from Feiwel & Friends. I adored Alameda’s first book, Shutter (click the link to read my ravy review), and it just feels like forever since Pitch Dark popped up on Goodreads. Does this sound amazing or what? I’m getting a bit of a Firefly vibe, for some reason. June is a long ways off, not sure how I’ll be able to wait, LOL!
Let me know what you’re waiting on this week:-D
Not read this author but that cover looks pretty cool! 🙂
I still need to read Shutter and remember grabbing it for my Kindle because I was just dying to read it as soon as it was released (story of my life it seems). I love the cover for this one and I hope it does get released as scheduled because it sounds pretty freakin’ awesome!

Shutter was sooo good, and it seems like it’s been at least two years since it came out, so this new one is bound to be good too!
I haven’t read Shutter yet, but really want to. And if that’s the cover for this one, wow!!! It is awesome! You can check out my WOW in the link below.

I agree, I do love this cover:-)
This sounds delightfully terrifying! 🙂 Pity that we will have to wait that long to read it: now that you piqued my curiosity I would love to get my hands on this book *immediately*!
Well, I can always fill the long wait with this author’s first book…
Thanks for sharing!

It does seem like a LONG wait, right? Although time tends to go faster than I want it to, so it will probably be here before you know it:-)
Such a fantastic cover! Love the sound of it too. 🙂

The cover is fairly simple, but it’s still attention grabbing:-)
I really enjoyed Shutter, so I’ll probably be checking this one out as well. I think it’s pretty cool she’s turning her attention to sci-fi!

I feel like everyone is writing sci fi these days, which is fine with me!
I still haven’t read Shutter! (I have a copy around here somewhere) And this one sounds really good too

Ha ha story of my life: “I know I have a copy somewhere” lol:-)
This does sound good – pity its not out now isn’t it – it feels like a great read for October.

I love it when a book you’ve been waiting for finally gets a cover reveal. I’m sure this one is the cover they’ll be going with. If it isn’t they should consider keeping it. It’s a pretty good one. I like the sound of this on a lot. I might have to pick it up next summer.
