Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where bloggers are given a different theme each week. This week is a FREEBIE, which means you can come up with your own Top Ten list. I always seem to have more review books on my plate than I can get to, which means I rarely get to read non-review books. The following are that I’m DYING to read, but I just haven’t had time. In most cases, I already own copies, so reading them should be a no-brainer, right? Right….
Here are my Top Ten Books released in 2015 that I haven’t had a chance to read, but I’m going to try my best to get to before the year’s over:
Karen Memory by Elizabeth Bear. Out since February. Every blogger I know who reviewed this loved it, so I’m sure I will too!
The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins. Out since June. I’ve read glowing reviews from both bloggers and professional review publications, and despite the fact that many readers describe this as “hard to describe,” I can’t wait to read it.
Finn Fancy Necromancy by Randy Henderson. Out since February. I received a copy of this unsolicited from the publisher, and set it aside because it didn’t look all that special. But I guess I was totally wrong! Bloggers love this book, so I’m jumping on board:-)
Love in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction by Judd Trichter. Out since February. Not a lot of bloggers read and reviewed this, but for some reason it’s on my “to read” list and has really good reviews on Goodreads.
A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay. Out since June. I snagged a copy of this at Comic Con this past July, and I’ve read nothing but amazing things about it. I’m going to try for an October read since it looks perfect for Halloween!
Vermilion by Molly Tanzer. Out since April. I purchased this from small press Word Horde, mostly because of the cool cover and the cool story premise.
The Fold by Peter Clines. Out since June. Bloggers have raved about this science fiction story, and I’m dying to find out for myself how good it is:-)
Touch by Claire North. Out since February. North’s name is all over the place these days. She’s also the author of The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, which won the John C. Campbell Memorial Award.
Twelve Kings in Sharakhai by Bradley P. Beaulieu. Just released this month. I had never even heard of this, until just about every blogger I know reviewed it and loved it. I mean, where have I been? Anyway, when all the bloggers you trust and respect love a book, it’s kind of a no-brainer.
The Mechanical by Ian Tregillis. Out since March. I’m beginning to sound like a broken record, but here’s another book that’s received a lot of love from bloggers. I have a copy and it’s staring me in the face!
So there they are, ten books I’ve been trying to read all year! How about you? Have you read, or are you planning to read these? And which one should I read first?

I also want to read Touch and Twelve Kings in Sharakhai. (And I blame Mogsy at Bibliosanctum for that. *lol*) But both sound really good. I have a bunch other 2015 reads I’d like to check out, too, like Ink and Bone, A Darker Shade of Magic, and The Gracekeepers. Those are the first three that come to mind.
There are just WAY TOO MANY books in 2015 that I want to read. It’s impossible!

I hope you can get to these. I think Vermilion looks the coolest, that cover is so good and I think that every time I see it. And I’m not sure about Touch because I had a hard time with The First Fifteen Lives. I didn’t know that book won an award, I completely missed something reading that story…
Ugh, there are just way too many great books to get to. I have about half of these in my TBR right now and planned to get to ALL of them by the time the released. Sadly that didn’t work out. If I were to try and pick ONE to start now I’d probably waste half the day deciding.
Love today’s freebie topic. I’m seeing a lot of interesting lists today. I have so many books from 2015 that I still haven’t read yet (that I really want to) I’m feeling overwhelmed just thinking about it! That’s what next year’s backlist burndown list will be for 🙂
Touch is absolutely on my list, I can’t wait to read it. I’ve also had a copy of The Mechanicals for ages and I’m just now getting around to it. I hope it’ll be as great as it seems.

I claim to love horror novels (not movies — no idea why) but was kind of shocked at how many “classic horror” reads I’ve missed. I’m super excited!
