#RRSciFiMonth – The Friday Face-Off: Vampire

The Friday Face-Off was created by Books by Proxy, where each week bloggers can showcase books with covers centered around a weekly theme. You can visit Lynn’s Books for a list of upcoming themes. Join in the fun each Friday by finding a book whose cover is based on the theme!

This week’s theme: “The children of the night. What music they make!” – A cover with a vampire.

As the last Friday Face-Off of Sci-Fi November, I decided to go with a sci-fi centric vampire story, and so I picked The Passage by Justin Cronin. There are some lovely covers and I wanted to share them. Let’s take a look:

U.S. hardcover 2010 | UK paperback 2011

Canadian edition 2011 | Polish edition 2011

Finnish edition 2010 | Turkish edition 2012

Lithuanian edition 2011 | Dutch edition 2011

I particularly love the covers with trees, but for my favorite I’m going to have to go with the Polish edition, mostly because I love the colors:

Let me know which one is your favorite:-D

  1. I had a look at this one for this week’s theme. I love your choice, I still like the cover with the girl in black and white but that’s because it’s the one I’m familiar with but I love the colours of your winner.

  2. I definitely didn’t even realize this book had vampires, haha. I really like the cover you chose, though I am quite partial to that Dutch edition as well. Those trees and colors are beautiful.

  3. The Polish one is nice, and I like the ones with trees too- especially the first one (which is the one I’ve seen the most, so maybe that’s it too). The Turkish is very similar so I guess I like that one too. πŸ™‚

My favorite cover is the US hardcover, just because it’s the most tasteful, attractive, and anon-creepy!
