Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to highlight upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers.

Let’s start the year off with a book that is SO far away from being published, that you are all going to hate me! LOL. This book doesn’t come out until October, but it already has a lovely cover that I just can’t help but share:

The Starlit WoodOnce upon a time in the desert, in a tower, on a spaceship, in the Other Country…

For centuries, storytellers have crafted timeless tales that have always found a place in our hearts. Here, a new generation of critically acclaimed, award-winning writers have taken up their mantle and shaped traditional and extraordinary fairy tales into something startling and electrifying.

From castles to canyons, a post-human landscape to a pixelated dungeon, from the far future to fantastical realms, The Starlit Wood transforms eighteen stories you thought you knew and takes you on a journey at once unexpected and familiar across time, space, and amazing new worlds.

The Starlit Wood: New Fairy Tales, edited by Dominik Parisien & Navah Wolfe. Releases October 2016 from Saga Press. The list of contributors alone is making me salivate for this anthology (Catherynne M. Valente! Naomi Novik! Max Gladstone! Garth Nix! and more!), but until October rolls around, we can gaze at this spectacular cover.

Let me know what you’re waiting on this week:-)

Hi Fee, it probably isn’t available for preorder yet. It doesn’t come out until October, so you might want to wait a couple of months and then check again. I’m very excited for it too!

I know, the wait it ridiculous. But we’ll most likely forget about it, and then boom, October will be here before you know it;-)

I think the line up of authors is really good, and it’s always interesting to see how writers who have written novels do with short stories.

  1. That is a very good tip especially to those fresh to the
blogosphere. Simple but very accurate information… Many thanks for sharing
this one. A must read post!
