Waiting on Wednesday (92) GOLDEN SON by Pierce Brown

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books we’re excited about. This week I’m super excited because I located an image of this book that didn’t have the dreaded Entertainment Weekly logo plastered all over it. Thank you, Barnes & Noble! (And might I mention to a certain Goodreads Librarian whose name starts with “M,” now’s your chance to update it:-)) I’m crazy about this series, and I’m looking forward to book two which is:

Golden Son

Golden Son (Red Rising Trilogy #2) by Pierce Brown. Release date: January 15 2015 (Random House). If you don’t know how I feel about Red Rising, you must be new to this blog! Here’s the blurb for Golden Son:

With shades of The Hunger GamesEnder’s Game, and Game of Thrones, debut author Pierce Brown’s genre-defying epic Red Rising hit the ground running and wasted no time becoming a sensation. Golden Soncontinues the stunning saga of Darrow, a rebel forged by tragedy, battling to lead his oppressed people to freedom from the overlords of a brutal elitist future built on lies. Now fully embedded among the Gold ruling class, Darrow continues his work to bring down Society from within. A life-or-death tale of vengeance with an unforgettable hero at its heart, Golden Son guarantees Pierce Brown’s continuing status as one of fiction’s most exciting new voices.

Seriously, I cannot wait. I’m hoping there will be ARCs at San Diego Comic Con this summer, which is where I picked up Red Rising. Bonus if Mr. Brown shows up too! And if you haven’t entered yet, I have an international giveaway going on right now, and Red Rising is one of your choices if you win. Enter here! What are you waiting on this week? Leave me a link:-)
